Was just wondering if anyone had done gold lightening as tip, on natural nails (instead of white) with L &P on top ? have been thinking of giving this a go but would love to see a pic if anyone has one? thanks xx
(had posted this on the minx lovers page but no one replied, so thought I'd post it here and see if anyone could help)

I have at the moment gold metalic cheetah, (is this lightening, I forget names lol) on my ring finger just in zone 1, I done it over week ago to show a friend as I am doing them on her on thursday as full set. I will try and upload a picy, unfortunatly I have trouble trying to put pics on here :(, also my 3yo little girly broke my camera today, but will see if I can get one. I have lots of comments when done like this, although I cant see them lasting much longer than few weeks as you could not rebalance, just have to remove zone one and sculpt new tip on. xxxxxx

Hi fi, I have been using clear in zone 1 and pure pink in 2 and 3, by coverage do you mean opaque? Should I use pink for zone 1 aswell as 2 and 3? just a bit panicky as never done full set on paying client like this, iykwim. Thanks xxx

thanks guys, have seen the gold chetah and some other patterns but was actually looking for a pic of the plain gold ligtening, as have some left overs from doin my toes before and would like to attempt putting it on my nails, the only thing I'm wondering is, my nails are quite curvy at the ends, should I attempt a nno, or cut them down and use tips? xx

Hi everyone x

I'm new to MInx.. infact got my 1st minxing to do tomorrow but she's a friend soooo pheww!
When i ordered my minx from Sweet Squared she said i might as well just order the toes as you can cut them down and are able to get fingers and toes out of them... sounded good at the time but now i'm worried about cutting them and sizing them... Do you all do this and do i cut them with there cold or warm?

wished i'd got both sets now!

Hi hun, cut them when cold. I sometimes use another number as a guide, say put a number 9 on a 6 and cut... I cut mine in half and use the other half for doing minx on tips of fingers with acrylic ontop iygwim xxx Or you could slightly trim using your curved scissors and just take little off at a time from the bottom and sides. HTH xxx

Hi
just been reading all the ones above and I didn't know that you could use minx for the tip and L&P over the top. Do you cut a smile line and then place it on top????
Can you reuse the left over????

I use the oval middle piece of a CND Performance sculpting form and place it on the Minx as a template and cut my smiles. One end of the oval makes a nice natural C curve and using the other end makes a more extreme C curve. YOu can keep reusing it until all are completed. Up here for thinking!!!:lol:
