just wondered how far you are prepared to travel to a client for a mobile beauty service before adding extra mileage

i travel within a 50 mile radius for bridal makeup, but have just signed up for cpl short beauty courses so that i can offer non bridal treatments locally - obviously mileage wise its going to be a whole new ball game, i havent got a clue how many miles to add to the cost of the treatments or do you just add the cost seperately

sorry for waffling on, just not really worked on "very" local clients before xx

Hiya honey, well the way i work my prices is that its free to do call-outs within a 3mile radius, and 50 per mile thereafter! Obviously they would only pay that amount for traveling to my appointment! Not there and back! Hths xxx

Hi Hun, it totally depends on what people are having done, I say I travel free up to 15 mile radius. Then put on a couple pounds over that. But if they are having loads done I tend to waiver the petrol money! Also if you have a minimum call out over so many miles that could work too. Hth. Xx

It depends on how poputated your area is. I was willing to do a 10 mile radius, but never went further then 5 miles. If I had gone further I would have charged 50p a mile outward journey only. But as I said it never came up. Northampton is a very dencely poputated place.

I go upto 10 miles. If it's anymore that that then I dont do it. x

I usually travel up to 8 miles but will travel further if its worth my while, I've travelled to Edingburgh for a weekend event and Glasgow and often do Darlington. If the moneys right I'll do it.
