Hi,

First post but just found this site and seems like a good place to ask!

I am originally from Yorkshire and recently moved down to Berkshire. I've had waxing for the past 5 years or so where I used to live but trying to find someone around these parts (Berkshire/Oxfordshire border) who provides a mobile service. I am usually able to visit a salon but currently I am on a driving ban (12 points!!!). May be able to get somewhere central - like Reading town centre but would prefer the convenience of a mobile therapist to avoid the hassle of public transport! Anyone on here cover my area or know anyone that does?

Many thanks

James

Hi James

There are a few places in Reading town centre that offer male waxing. I offer it, but not mobile (although I do have clients that come on the bus or train).

I wouldn't say it will be impossible to find someone mobile but male waxing isn't really a popular choice for mobile therapists.

Best of luck!

Hi James,

I'd give you a nod in the direction of the guy who trained me in Basingstoke. Andy will certainly look after you.

Axiom Bodyworks | Male Grooming

Alternatively you can come and see me in Sunny Plymouth - but I figure that's a bit of a trek for you! :)

hth? Jason.

I was going to recommend Andy too, as we actually know him, whereas the salons in Reading town centre I don't actually know. Only thing is, Basingstoke is of course a train ride further on from Reading. But Andy is in the town centre of Basingstoke so would be easy to get to by train and has of course got an excellent reputation.

Thanks for the Info, That's a fair trek for me as I live in Sonning Common - I found a website that's Reading Town centre ish - Jemzbeauty - also Zozo - where abouts are you based, are you in the Reading area? Wont be so much of an issue once I get my licence back! If you do evenings that may help as I could get my partner to drive me much to his annoyance!

Hi James

Thank you for joining us here on Salon Geek!:)

I am the owner of Jemz Nails & Beauty that you mentioned above.

Sorry, but I don't offer a mobile service anymore.

Its not as hard as it sounds. Get yourself on the bus into Reading town centre from Sonning Common.

The buses to where I am based run at least every 5 minutes. Its about 10 minute ride from Reading't town centre.
OR, you could walk from the town centre. It would only take you about 15-20 minutes - all that fresh air!

Zoe is also on a good bus route as well. So it won't take long to get to her either!

Andy as mentioned above Andy is fab, he has an excellent reputation in the industry.

And I can do evenings as well...

Many thanks - you all sound so nice and so quick to all recommend each other, my business is far more cut throat! I feel bad to choose one of you over the other now perhaps I'll have to alternate appointments between you both so you each benefit from a bit of new business - I'm just a silly old puff when it comes to this! (well not so old I'm yet to hit 40) Andy seems very good but I think it's just a bit too far for me to travel to when there's therapists in Reading.
Will be in touch very soon, thank you so much for the lovely help.

James x
