I don't find ignorance about the rules of motorway driving funny, I find it infuriating. Why would anyone drive at such high speed without the confidence or understanding of what they are supposed to be doing, plus everyone else around them? The problem with just deciding to stick to a lane (instead of paying attention or bothering to learn the rules) is if you accidentally switch off for a minute (which happens, autopilot kicks in often on mways) then you don't notice what's happening around you, and I guarantee you will have caused a hold up once if not more often in your life. It happens All. The. Time.
Don't worry about it though, that person usually doesn't notice as they have no idea what's supposed to be happening anyway.
You know what annoys me more? I'd estimate 90% of the time it is women. What's that about??
If I sound like I'm on my soapbox it's because I can't believe how many people drive on motorways without knowing what the hell is going on. How are we so bad at this in the UK?
