i had this on my pc - but the last time i tried to log into it, it said that my password etc was wrong - i wasnt - its the same one ive had for the past 6 years - anyway, i thought id go and try and download it tonight, and it gonna cost £6 -what the hell is all that about

think ill go without rather than pay the £6 for something i already had and was took off me

if anyone knows a fix for this, id appreciate it

I know when I was looking to download it some sites wanted a fee for it, but if you keep looking there are free sites.
I just tried to look for you but it keeps taking me to my own msn home page sorry ..x

If you have already downloaded the one that wants you to pay, uninstall it and run a virus check.

im sure if you download from microsoft it is free....mine was and i have had it on all my pcs so far. wondered why u hadnt been about, lol!!

Just identified a virus on my friends pc. It said it was free microsoft virus protection with all the real logos etc. She downloaded it and now it pops up on the screen asking for subscription and telling you you have dangerous viruses. It looks really authentic but literally pops up everyfew seconds. It cannot be uninstalled and just coms back

The guy at the local pc shop says its a scam. Apparently its a virus and asks for £65 for Microsoft virus protection. Once paid it leaves you alone for a couple of weeks. then it comes back and asks for more money as it starts to pop up again.

It'll cost £45 to remove the virus now. Watch out girls it looks really convincing!!!
