Yesterday I found a big lump inside my dogs mouth that had just came out of no where. We took him to the vets and they thought he had a foreign object in it and that's why it had swelled. When they done the X-ray they saw the cancer. The left lower side of his jaw is black and rotting. I'm in shock as he had been absolutely fine and showing no signs of anything. We've been told he will need surgery but if it has spread they can't do anything for him. We haven't even had him for 2 years! I'm devastated :-(

Poor boy.
When will They let you know? Fingers crossed that it hasn't spread. Hopefully, the fact there were no other symptoms might be a good sign?

Big hugs. ((()))

He's off to the vets today to be checked over and then referred. He may have surgery tomorrow or Wednesday. Apparently the lump was because he knocked his jaw and burst a blood vessel. Whilst they were checking that they found the cancer :-( I hope they've found it early x

Your poor boy! Hugs to you both x

Good luck to your boy :(
I hope everything turns out ok for you all! Fingers crossed for you.

Sorry to hear this!! I hope he gets better soon! Xx

Oh bless you. Good luck. It's awful when something happens to a pet. They seem so innocent and loving.

I lost my 15 year old spaniel to cancer just over a year ago.

Keep your chin up. They can work miracles xx

He's having surgery on Thursday and I'm praying it goes well! X

Good luck to your lovely boy, hope it goes well on Thursday. xx

Good news he's had his surgery and the specialist is 99.5% sure it's not cancer! We just have to wait for the results x

You must be so relieved, that's fab!! Fingers crossed for the results x

Oh brilliant! I was just thinking about him today!
Such good news - so happy for you all ☺️

Glad the news was good, my 9 year old terrier had a mast call tumor removed last year and they prepared me for the worst. But the results came back low grade and no spread so I think the vets like to be realistic and not get people hopes up incase of bad news but the waiting is horrible glad it's looking good for your pup xxx

How's the recovery going for your pup? Hope he's back to normal! You got the test results back? X
