My vision turned out foggy
I used clear tips and put NSI classic clear acrylic over them. Then did a layer of glaze n'go then used a red gel over about half of the nail. That all went fine and well, so then I wanted to have a partial gel glitter tip with some of the clear tip still showing. I was hoping it would turn out looking completely clear like glass with the gold glitter covering some of it in a design. But the clear part looks a little foggy or milky. My nails are clean but it seems like the foggyness is coming from the underside of my tip. Any ideas on how to make it look glassy?
I was thinking of swiping some glaze 'n go on the underside but i"m affraid it will just make my problem permanent.
(oh by the way, I did finish it off by filing and buffing down the color gel and glitter then doing another layer of glaze n' go)

May be down to the powder that you have used,
i use CND clear powder and NSI glaze & go when working on clear tips and never have this problem hth

thats so weird. I actually called NSI customer service before buying the classic clear to make sure it was as clear as their new attraction clear, but she assured me there was no difference. maybe I missunderstood what she said. OH well....I'll work with it

i maybe wrong but over here i think they have stopped doing the classic powders as the attraction has replaced it.
i use nsi powders and i cant remember ever having this problem.if i think of somthing it may be i'll let you know.xx

instead of glaze n go why dont you try some clear nail varnish on the underneath of the tip,at least it wont make it permanent.xx

I tried it with one nail with the glaze n' go and it looked great at first, but then i scratched it alittle and it chalked up. So ya Glaze n' go is a no no directly on tips. So then I tried the clear polish and about 30 min later they seem to have cleared up alot and when i scratch them nothing happens. Thanks for the in-put!
About the NSI powders I have to look into that because my whole-sale supplier only has the classic line, so maybe they're just going through what they have on their shelves.

Glaze 'n Go is meant to go directly on gel or acrylic. Not sure how it would work directly on the tip. I'm sure it is not the NSI Classic Powder. It is called "Crystal" Clear and I haven't experienced cloudiness with it.

I love using NSI products but I personally think the clear tips are cloudy from NSI.. They are more of a grey colour.. Buy another brand of clear tips, that is transparent not cloudy and hopefully you will see a difference, i did!!

I agree with that last post, the clear powder from nsi is crystal clear but the tips aren't as crystal, I always just sculpt when I want a clear tip. btw the classic powders are still on the NSI website, personally I only ever buy the attraction powders but I guess they're still making classics hth :)
