Mornin', all. I'm looking for feedback on the rebalance I did on my mom's nails this a.m. She loves them and thinks they are perfect. Me...not so much.

I'm really looking for feedback as to where I can improve. I want to be the best...like so many of you on this site.

Thanks so much for your help!

P.S. It's my first time with a digital camera...

I haven't rated as I'm no expert myself and am still practising, but I think these look really good and very natural. Well done x

Looking close up I would say some of your smile lines are a bit wonkey on the right hand I think it is when I zoom in, but I did notice how flush they looked at the cuticle, well done.I think smile lines and the cuticle area is the hardest to over come.

Sorry, didn't leave the ratings as there were boxes not relevant and it would have made your overall score too low

The colour in zone 2 & 3 is perfect for the skintone and the cuticle area looks nice and flush so well done :)

The free edge shape looks good too but is let down a little by the smile lines. Try to 'echo' the smile line to the free edge shape but adding a little extra curve and I think that would be just perfect. Just another little pointer - I think that for a rebalance the smile lines would have been better slightly higher because after 2 weeks growth the white will probably be off the end of the finger and need repositioning again.

Cheers,
Hazel

They look lovely. Some of the smile lines are a bit wonky, but the shape, apex etc is very good.

same as above!!!
I think they look really nice......it has been mentioned about the smile lines which are a bit wonky.....have you tried using reverse technique....i used this for the first time when using opaque colours on the nail bed and found it gave me much much better looking results.

Thank you for your comments! Yes, that elusive smile line...I am still having trouble with it.

I agree about those two being the hardest to overcome.

Thank you for your comments and your suggestion. I've never tried the reverse application, yet. Is it easier than the traditional application? Maybe I'll work on that over the weekend!

i agree with hazel.
i find my l&p smile lines the hardest thing aswell.
the cb looks great although im no expert at that.
i think the length, shape etc.. of the nails look good and the cuticle area looks nice and flush.from what i can see the apex look good but its a bit hard to tell from the angle of the photos.
an excellent start though.
you can always practice your smile lines on some nail tips to help you in between clients.xx

Thank you!

I was nervous for posting my first critique but I really wanted criticism. So many on here do FABULOUS nails and I want to be among the group.

Yeah, so many bugs to work out with the digital camera. It's certainly not good for taking pics of my grandson...he's too fast. LOL!

Thanks, again!
