I have been practising and practising my smile lines and i find that when i tip my client with a natural tip and then blend the tip in, if i leave the the line from the tip there very faintly i can use this as a guide line for my smile line and they come out perfect everytime, is this ok to do??

As long as the tip is covered by the white and the finished nail looks balanced and looks pleasing to the eye there is nothing wrong with it.

After practise you should be able to do smiles without the help of a guide of any kind ... you have to see it in your mind and then do it.

im hoping that once i get the feel for it i will eventually not need to do it, also i want to learn to do deep smile lines so im not looking at this as a long term solution!, i have a skill building day on sat with a CND tutor so hopefully that will build my confidence up even more :)

its a start hun and like geegsaid you wont need it or shouldnt do once you get the hang of it and your skill building will help you so much :)
