Has any of you done nail art at car boots?

near where i live there is a big car boot, they have the usual face painting etc and thought abut doing nail art to get people to see what i do.

what do ya think?

(my open day went terrible!!!! not many turned up)

Never seen this before but then i don't go to many car boots.
I guess it's all publicity for you and at the end of the day it shouldn't really matter where you are doing it as long as you are doing a professional job.

I say if it helps get you clients then go for it. You could also hand out vouchers offering ?% off their first treatment with you.

Great idea especially for the kids but use a quick dry polish and nail art thats really quick and easy that way you can get alot done also make up a load of business cards and hand out to everyone fantastic advertising even if you dont get many payng customers

hi, what a shame, i love nail doing nail art but never done one at car boot, better luck next time :)

Car boot sale! What an excellent idea! I was looking around my local area for summer fetes etc but think i might have a search for some local car boots! It's all advertising at the end of the day........

Good luck with it! x

Hiya .. can i go against the grain on this one...

I'm not sure that doing nails at a car boot sale is the best look for your business...i think its hard enough being took seriously in this profession as it is.

Hope you don't mind me saying, its just my opinion on it. xx

i did a car boot the other week....i couldnt get people to give me 20p for stuff !!

In fact in the end i couldnt GIVE my stuff away!

I too wouldnt think its your best way forward, i suppose it depends on what kind of clients you want though.

Have you tried customer incentive schemes - recommend a friend etc?

Leaflet drops?

Advert in the yellow pages?

Local village magazine?

amb x

I dunno... I would have thought the kind of people frequenting car boot sales would be bargain hunters - not peeps that would be willing to pay a fair price for services, if you see what I mean. I also think they'd probably try to negotiate a better price when your prices are what they are - fixed!
