Hi all.....I am looking to do a course in acrylic nails.....Now what I am wondering is....who is the best establishment to train with?....I live in Scotland and I am what you would call 'a mature student'...:)...I don't really fancy going to college for 1yr to learn this as I work p/t....the other thing Ive found is that it seems to be quite expensive?!....Can anyone point me in the right direction plz?......thanks........Sue

Hi, thanks for that, interesting reading...but now i'm totally confused......I have looked into NSI nail training which seems to be the nearest to my home town but I was looking for somewhere that would possibly let you pay up your course rather than all at once....heck of a lot of money in one go......sue x

well yea it is.. but proper training is worth it.. Have you tired your local colleges? perhaps they have decent foundation courses that allow you to pay term.. then you can look into conversion.. this is how i did it.. but tbh i would have prefered to save my money and have gotten decent training to begin with..

Hi Chels.....yes I have looked at college options, mostly they want you to have a recognised manicure/pedicure certificate before you embark on nail courses...now, I have done a fibre glass nail course way back in 2001 via Star Nails and apparently their certificate is NOT recognised!!!..so....it means I would have to do a manicure/pedicure course for 1 yr then enlist for a nail course??...I really dont want to waste all that time goin to college (I'm rather mature for that!!)..:lol:....and I work also which means I cant commit to college schedule .....Hmmm....decisions decisions.... sue x

Most colleges do part time courses, one evening a week.
I would advise saving up and taking your training with Creative, they have won awards for there training year after year,
yes it is expensive but you truly get what you pay for,
if you want a copy of there training brochure or to ask them any questions you need to ring Sweet Squared on 0845 2106060
