I put a thread on here a while back regarding one of my clients glueing her own nails back on, well now I have another problem with her.

I spoke to her about glueing her own nails back on...bacteria etc and thought we had move on from that by me sculpting her nails..well now it seems she's still not happy.

She is very harsh on her nails and nibbles them picks them etc..she admits this...so I get a call saying 2 had come off and she had picked one off...so I redo the sculpts and rebalance the other ..

Now she had only gone and found one of the old white tips from when she had these before ..I guess it's been sitting in her house for about a month and glued it on her little finger!

Not only that when I had finished doing her nails, she then complained about the cost of the 4 new ones (including the one she stuck on) saying why would she have to pay extra when all it is, is the same as rebalance!

Iv'e explained to her that I use more product to make new nails, time and forms, plus the acetone to remove that glued on nail. I mean something is nothing getting through to her, still she wanted me to put L&P over the glued on one

I feel like a parrot ..How would you deal with her?

waw girl - you must be tearing your hair out! lol

This is what I would do: apply acrylic (liquid & powder) enhancements to her nails, but put on a fibreglass wrap on each nail first. Make the nails short and square shaped.

This will ensure the nails will be VERY strong and she'll have to work extra hard to pick the off. Ask her to make a weekly appointment with you (if she hasn't already) so that you can assess the damage and repair anything quickly.

Tell her that she will risk a nasty fungal infection by sticking old nails back on. Print out a colour picture of a REALLY minging looking fungal nail and show it to her - it might help put her off.

If all else fails, tell her to go flush her head down the toilet :wink2:

good luck x

answer mine? I posted above your thred on this forum. thanks xx

If you really want an honest reply my darling, I would get rid! Clients like these never listen or follow advice and are more trouble than they and their big mouths are worth. Trust me, she is either badmouthing you to her friends telling them that your nails are crap or she will be telling them just how much she gets away with! Either way you are the loser. You will end up looking at your diary and it ruining the day for you when you see her booked in!

I have had a client like this before who had even set her nails alight once! When she made her very last complaint I just told her that I was really sorry that my work wasn't up to her very high standards and that I thought she would be better looking for someone else as she was obviously not happy with me. She wriggled and squirmed a bit and tried to tell me that she was happy but I just said that she was only trying to be nice and save my feelings. I did not book her in again and haven't seen her since. Have heard of her though with several other girls and even a hairdresser who has had the same problem with her hair!

Good luck with whatever you decide to do! :D:rolleyes:

Oh i so agree with Sheila your NEVER going to win with her,one day she will get an infection and tell everyone it was your fault.Get rid asap and save yourself a lot of trouble and stress. If she does tell others they will actually respect you for it. Good luck

TBH, she sounds more trouble than what she's worth. Next time she wants to make an appointment, tell her you are fully booked. Keep doing that until she gets the hint and goes somewhere else.

Sorry if this sounds harsh, but i'd rather get rid of someone like this. You're hardly going to miss her hun.

Sounds like one I just had. Nothing was good enough for this woman and she finally flat out dumped me. I had to bite my tongue to keep from thanking her.

There's just no pleasing some people.

Thanks ladies for you replies.

It's not that she dislikes the nails...she does like them....it's just the fact she hates paying and thinks she shouldn't have to pay for anything extra I do ..like repairs as this should be part of the infill/rebalance cost

I charge her for the rebalance and then extra for each nail I replace or repair...thats right yes?

It's like I sit there do all the work we chat nicely etc then when it come to paying..she turns into a monster..says things like" and just how much is that going to cost me now" you know in a sarky voice

i would say to her if it was your work causing the problem then i would replace them FOC but as you are a picker and dont treat your nails well then i have to charge also if you went to joe blogs up the road they would charge you for repairs as well, its called business.
dont let her make you feel you are in the wrong because she will wear you down untill you give in and give her a freebie.
hopte this helps
