Hi geeks I do shellac at the moment and we do Jessica manicures... Is it worth getting in vynlux from sweet squared.... Your views please x

I love Vinylux. I changed all my old polishes to Vinylux not long after it came out. I find it so easy to work with and because of the fast drying time, I actually find French polishing fun again. :)

I second that! I love Vinylux, it's the best polish I've ever used and a great companion to CND Shellac for professionals. The retail opportunities are great too.

Your question has been asked before on here many times, if you do a search
you'll find LOADS of information on Vinylux. Enjoy!

I third that, totally agree with everthing above, and not much else to add really :D

Absolutely love Vinylux! I have got about half the collection now and pretty much anyone who was still having OPI pedis/manis has now gone to Vinylux. Also I've just done a quick paint on my nails before I came into work and 10 minutes later it's dry enough for me to carry on with my typing!

Until CND get off their ar$es and stop people selling it on Amazon at £5.95 a bottle you might find the retail opportunities are limited now.

Love VINYLUX ... Sell loads of it and anyone can buy any professional polish from amazon shops which makes it a level playing field for all.

Our clients buy from us when they come in and we are selling more VINYLUX polish than we have sold other polish for years ... And we have always sold polish.

How on earth is it a level playing field, Geeg, when the RRP is £9.95!

Selling it at £5.95 a bottle means that it's barely above cost, and if you were to add in the Amazon seller fees then you'd be selling at a loss!

I sell lots of in my salon, but my online sales have all but stopped now.
Added to which there is the matter of the relationship between CND and S2. Every bottle bought from these cut price sellers means one less bottle bought from S2.
Nice way to treat your distributor, eh?

They treat us pretty nicely, Lynne.

Not going to get into a debate about CND ... This is a huge universal problem world wide.

As a distributor our number one priority is to look after our customers, not to expend masses of negative energy and time haranguing CND about a difficult issue that we know they, and every other brand are having to contend with. THAT is what I meant by a level playing field .... Every manufacturer is facing the same challenge.

Let's get back to topic and not take it off if possible. VINYLUX is la bomba and a very good investment for any salon as we who are selling it all know.

I must admit, I was a bit worried about the fact that Amazon were selling Vinylux at first, but not anymore. I had a lady find me on the Vinylux Salon Finder. She came to see me to buy Vinylux. She said she had bought two or three colours from Amazon - had to pay postage charges for it, and when it arrived the colour was different to how it appeared on Amazon.

She loved that she could come to me, see all the colours in person, and try out a few on her nails before she bought them. She bought six colours that first time, and the top coat. She has been back numerous times since, always comes with a list - and chooses two or three new colours (I keep all the colours in stock to retail). She has also passed my details to 3 of her friends, who now also buy from me. x

Yay the Sweet Squared free salon locator!!

Many who qualify to be on it still have not done it .. shame for them as they are missing business. CND Shellac & Vinylux is where we direct all people in the consumer magazines who ask for a genuine Shellac or Vinylux service (and they are many). Only the individual salon/mobile technician can fill in the details they want people to see. Do so by logging into your S2 account and add yourself to the locator in the manage your account section.

I love vinylux! All my old polishes are redundant :( poor things!

Once my training is finished I will be investing in some more colours and hope to start retailing in November.

Apart from the salon locator and clients does anyone retail in any other way?

Are we allowed to retail on websites, amazon, eBay etc?!?

So we should invest in it then and forget about Jessica x

I only offer vinylux it's fantastic and love the quick dry time!

As long as you sell it at the RRP then yes, you can.

Thanks Lynne :) that's useful to know. No point though if others are selling at a ridiculous price!!!

Exactly.
When we take on new trade customers it's made abundantly clear to them that they must not sell Swissdermyl online, anywhere. We have alerts set up on Amazon, eBay and general net sites and we get an email when it appears. On occasion it's come up on eBay and I have requested that it be removed. On one notable occasion I bought up the whole lot to stop it being out there.
We support our salons by protecting their revenue. We are but a minnow in comparison to other distributors but even when we expand I will still not allow it.
I'm both a distributor and a fully qualified beauty therapist, Registered General Nurse and salon owner, so I can see it from both perspectives.
As a therapist I can't invest in a product which is going to be sold at rock bottom prices elsewhere; I will end up with a stock room full of product I can't sell.
As a distributor I don't want salons yelling at me that they can't sell their products because someone's bringing it into the UK unlawfully.
Vinylux is an AMAZING product, and my clients are loving it. I'm loving the results too, but there's no doubt that I've lost thousands of pounds worth of sales as a result of the undercutters.

Please don't be having a go at me; I'm just very, very saddened that nobody is able to stop this.
:(

I have other polishes but hardly use anything but Vinylux. It is just so easy to use and the wear is amazing. On some people it easily rivals shellac! And forget about it when you use Brisa Lite Smoothing gel underneath. The wear is fantastic! I'm crazy about it and so are my clients. I really wasn't sure that I needed another polish, but I do trust CND and thought I would try it. It certainly lives up to its hype in my opinion!

I was always an opi girl but since getting my vinylux kit on tues I think I'm a convert!! Xx
