Welcome to Emellished Touch - Nails by Marc
I hope you enjoy browsing my website

typo:o

love the name of the salon! and love all the pics (great stars on the windows!)

love the website... what software did you use?

very nice website marc

I enjoyed visiting the site, but I think your aftercare advise needs serious revision.

You tell your clients for instance about fungus infection and then go on to describe what is not a fungus infection but a bacterial infection. Why go into this at all? It is not something they should normally encounter. A simple "return regularly for product maintenance to keep nails healthy and strong" is much more friendly and less scary.

I also think that telling clients how to remove lifting by filing (something I do not believe they should be doing) is telling them to expect lifting with their enhanced nails??

There are millions of typing errors ans spelling mistakes. Some of the info is very difficult to read too. And these comments are after a 5 minute look at aftercare only.

Sorry for the list of negatives but you did ask for feedback.

Aftercare leaflets with the correct information are available to buy. Also there is lots of aftercare advise on designer Nails web site in the NVQ section. Why re-invent the wheel?

A 360 grit abrasive?? What is this?

I think its great I'm doing the same at the moment and its so much fun, what software did you use?

hiya, well done. I just had a chance to look at two sections: about nail tech needs the following corrections ... 1st paragraph, 4th line : capital I; last paragraph : receive and pleasant; banner across bottom : satisfied

The Salon .... 2nd paragraph: plenty and ample are kind of the same thing, might read better if you use just one. 4th paragraph : capital t for The and capital p for Please.

Don't mean to come across as picky, but you have done a fab job and are wanting your professionalism to come across. Keep up the good work.

nice web site marc, but have to say i think your prices are a bit cheap, i would be thinking more £35.00 for a full set and £20.00 plus for rebalance. did my training with anne too. I would also remove a lot of your aftercare advice as its a bit ott and could scare the clients, for example you have a lot of "you must" instead put something like "it is advisable" plus get your spell check on the job...HTH

Hi there,

Had a bit of a look but to me there was so many typo's it was difficult to take it seriously - i don't mean to be harsh either.

As a potential client reading the website would concern me, if you make that many mistakes what would you do to my nails??!

Believe me Marc i'm not saying your ability as a nail tech is undermined whatsoever, but you must be aware that first impressions count in a world where there are so many others out there too. Whilst i can appreciate your eagerness to get your website out there into cyberspace, please just stop & re-read it before sending to site!

I agree with Geeg about way too much information in the aftercare section, clients don't need to know how to file their nails - that's your job isn't it? They'll end up telling you how to do it next!!!(Joke!) I think too much information will open up a whole box of frogs for you and you don't need all that agro!

On a plus the site looks good, easy to work round, and with a few adjustments i'm sure it will work great for you.

I loved looking at your website the photos of your salon are nice what a great place you have!

You will need to spell check your site I am no great speller I use the spell check a lot as I need to so I am not pulling you for this.

Well done you it looks like you have worked hard.

Caz xx:hug:

I think your website looks great!
yes there are spelling mistakes, and I found the smallest font size you've used in the aftercare section hard to read, but apart from that I think you've done a top job!

Marc you have done really well to say how much you have done on your site, a few teething problems with spelling and a little TOO much info on the after care. but i think it looks good, the layout is nice, although the info tab on the left, pink text on purple is a little blinding hee hee. Got my sun glasses out.
Your salon is beautifully done. you have thought it out well.
Look forward to going on the site again when the little tweeking here and there have been sorted.
Nice work Marc.

Hi Marc

I think once you sort out the bits mentioned above it will be fabulous :D

The only thing I would suggest is removing the ticker that says something like 'leave satisfied and with a smile on your face' - sounds a little pervy and porno to me  You'll be getting phone calls alright but for all the wrong reasons :wink2:

hey guys thanks so much for or your inputs so far i will make the changes tonight. as you can see im rubbish at spelling.! im off to work now so cant write a long post but will be back on here about 11 oclock with more info and will make the changes.

thanks

Hi Marc, Mandy makes a very valid point re the colours of your menu. It's not very easy on the eye. I think a good colour scheme would be white for your text in the 'mouseoff' position, then change it to a darker colour, maybe even black for the 'mouseover' position.

Hiya Marc,
Nice to see you have got your web-site up
I would sort out all the text and spelling mistakes asap
Things I would suggest to improve the site would be to stick to just 2 colours for all the text and background, I think the mix of colours is not easy on the eye and does get annoying.
Hope to see it again when you have had a tweak

hi there everyone thanks so much for your input on my website i really appreciate it. i have made the changes suggest. hopefully i have sorted out my spelling mistakes and typo errors (please let me know if there are anymore) i scanned the pages over and over again to double check. the aftercare page had been completly changed. and looking at it previously i thought geeg was right it was rubbish and too much info. i hope u agree now that the aftercare advice is much better. hope you like it more now

thanks again
