nsi balance nails snapping

I have just started to trial nsi balance and have to say loving it for ease of application and clarity. I've had no problems with lifting, although at the moment i have it over tips so wouldnt expect any free edge lifting.
The only problem that I have ben having is that a few of my nails have been snapping, bout half way down and a clean break, straight off. I think I build a good nail but could it be that I need to build the apex more ? any ideas would be great.

If they are snapping then you will either have to wear your nails a more suitable length for what you are doing with them, or yes, you'll need to build more strength into them.

Try it, if your unsure there's nothing like a bit of experimenting! But I think you've hit it on the nose really.

Yes - the same thing was happening to me when i first started using it.

Take a look at www.nailangel.co.uk - i know that it's a white tip but the gel application is the same. The way she puts on the gel is a different way to how i was originally taught (although we used this method with Bio Sculpture). HTH's

Thanks for all your replys, re nail length, I only every wear, 'working length nails' so I think I wil need to go with building more strength.

i just watched the video by nail angel that maggie recomended it is very different to the way i learnt with nsi,had probs with them snapping too! it makes sence so i'll have a go n maybe finally get to grips with gels

Got on at last, wow she uses a load more gel than I do but turns out to be a lovely shape nail !

Gonna buff mine back and have a go doing that way on my nails next week.

Want to get it right as i'm really impressed that there isnt any lifting !
