Hiya If you spend £25 pound its free posting so unless I need a few items I don't buy, but its very rare I can spend less its always more lol :)

If you spend over a certain amount delivery is free, but then ive looked at your profile and it doesnt appear as if you have any reason to shop there anyway.

I think its very reasonable you only have to spend £25 for free postage with NSI and they are very quick delivery..xx

Rather hostile. I am in the process of making up my profile. I have other commitments in my life that means I can't spend every second updating it. :(Just to make it clear to you I am qualified, and if you look you'll see I didn't sign up all that long ago.

Free postage is fine if I'm buying in bulk, but if I just need a top up of a couple of things I really don't see why I should pay that much on postage.
Buying in bulk is fine, but we don't all need to buy in bulk all the time do we? Sometimes we don't need everything at the same time.

I found it a bit annoying I guess.

My apologies:hug:. Although it would have been a totally different reply if your profile was filled out. Sometimes people come on and slate companies and products just for the sake of it. It probably would be better to update your profile when you`ve got a spare minute.

Maybe they currently only ship by courier, hence the postage charge? But then it would make sense to offer standard Royal Mail postage for small items under £25 instead of courier, I guess... then it would be, say, £2, for postage, which would be a lot more reasonable...

I understand. I just haven't gotten round to it. I'll put in some info and funky colours now for you :green:

Ruth - You may have a point there.

:( No fair they dont do that here but then i never spend under £25 anyway:lol::lol:

It's one of my (many) pet hates about companies charging over the odds for postage. Mostly it's a VAT wheeze. One marketing company shouts about they charge nothing for the product but just charge for postage, which happens to be £99. I ask you. How stupid do they think we are?
I appreciate that it's more work in the pick, pack, post department if we order only one or two items, but they're missing a trick if they can't see that small businesses will help to keep them afloat.

I know exactly where you're coming from there; we've seen similar with certain eBay and Amazon Marketplace sellers in the past, where the product is ostensibly cheap until you see the postage charges...

Also, there's a fair chance that the customers buying in small quantities are just starting out - yet may one day become potentially much bigger customers - but if they've been irked by things like expensive postage on small orders, then they may well have moved to a competitor who doesn't charge so much - and could well stick with that competitor too (so the other company has missed out on a lot of future revenue by not catering for smaller customers)...

There are a couple of issues here:

Firstly we do not like posts of this nature where a company or person is slated. This is one of the Geek Commandments which everyone agrees to abide by when they sign up.

Secondly, companies who are sending out hazardous goods cannot just use normal post they have to use special delivery or couriers and these cost money.

As you are in Manchester could you not go to the NSI shop and buy what you need.

That's what I was thinking

Personally I think £25 is a very reasonable amount to have to spend to get free delivery, I know of many companies where you will have to spend a lot more money in order to get delivery free of charge

One other point here:)
close to me I have 2 professional only wholesales who stock NSI products, so I quiet often look on the web site, then go to my local whole sales and if the items I want are not in stock, I request them, the wholesales then include my small order with their much larger order and I have my goods with in a couple of days with no postage charge to me.

I have just been browsing NSI's webpage in the UK. I have never ordered anything from their site and thought I'd have a peek.

Standard Shipping is £8.63....

£8.63!?!?

Their main storage in the UK is Manchester. I live in Manchester. Are they really trying to tell me it would cost them £8.63 + VAT at £1.20 to send me something which is advertised as £4 on the site?

So instead of £4 + postage of a few quid I would actually end up paying nearly £15.

Joke. A complete Joke!

Am I missing something or does this seem like a complete rip off to people?

EDIT: I know it's free if it's over £25 but if I want a couple of items only I don't agree with charging that amount.

OK...go to the shop and buy it?? Take your certificates...obviously.
If you don't like it then go ELSEWHERE.
We all have choices hun x

I agree it's quite exspensive if your only wanting to buy a small amount

i wanted to buy one of the starter kits as i bought one from college so and was running out as im still not 100% if nsi is for me thought i'll buy another to keep me going instead of spending loads on bigger amounts price was £8 but then it was double that because of postage and i needed some desperately as id run out of monomer and well i was stuffed luckily managed to get some elsewhere as theres only 2 places near me that stock nsi one being my college another being a salon in the centre.
