I have just been to the whole salers, and as some of you are aware i have been having a few problems with the brisa system, and with the company going into recavership, yep the word is every were. (obvoiusly they beleive another company will take over, some thing to do with the lady who owns the company putting all her money into a new fantastic system and will be revealed later, i Could be wrong but thats the gossip)

Any way i have bought pue nails which is a gel and acrylic system, dip brush in gel then powder. The packaging is horrable but apparently some good reports we shall see. I have also bought perfect smile which is rather interesting you can take photos and print out and they go direst on to your tip of your nails. So if some one is getting married you can take a phote of the detail and have it on the french tips.
I may be a bit slow and these are not new but i thought it was rather good.

Hi,do you mean Pure Nails? blue lable with white writing on it?

oh dear just got a - 1 dig what does that mean

I didnt know they did a combined,i use the Biulder gel and high gloss gel with all the prep accories/wipe off aswell.I fing it alright to be honest iv had no problems with it.Iv only just qualified been using it about 15mths now, im thinking of converting when i have enough money but upti now had no probs.HTH's x

I dont know what digs are lol soz x

Ooo no Jenny, I hope it wasn't me, I was replying but kept getting this message that my reply was too short, but what I was going to say was this:

Never heard of Pue nails - who says it is good the wholesalers? Maybe you should've done a bit more research before buying, if you have. I see now it is pure nails, thought it maybe could have been puke nails as the packaging wasn't nice - lol.

This machine thingy sounds a bit expensive too.

Sorry if it was me that caused you a minus 1 Give me a :smack:

that really good to no. from what i can gather from the lady in the shop, she said that many systems are the same, with creative at the top end and obviously your other products at the bottom. she said that most products are the same just different packaging and allot of companies copy each other.
no worries jo, no the computer smile is quite reasonable, it great for natural white smiles on natural nails or on extensions or with images on

ok let me just say a couple of things, I am a qualified nail tch, I went to college and did my vctc in acrylic, gel, and silk. I can work with any system. You do not have to take a conversion course. Yep i have the wrong lamp, but that was down to ellisons . The gel is setting but i found out that i was prep the nails to well. I will have some one come and do a one day with me as creative have told me there is no point in doing the foundation course. My insurance covers me for all systems. I just do not seem to be able to get on with it. So i have gone for yuk packaging and hope i will be ok with this product , My lady works with horses and cows, and is a nail bitter so all the odds are stacked against me. Please izzadoll, i am not saying that i dislike brisa. Creative is the top of the range company, would not suit us all to be the same chic, as long as our clients are happy and we get good results then i think that is fine

why do i keep getting -1, i only wanted to tell you about this system, or am i going mad:cry:

ok deff going mad it gone now, mmm, to much coffee me thinks

What are pue nails??

lol:) Its my dyslexia, you guys will get useb to me. Mined the packaging is a bit pue. Its pure nails:lol:

I'm sorry hun but the one thing you will learn is that all products are NOT the same. They all have their litle quirks and nuances when using them and to get the best from any product, and to really understand the chenistry behind how it works then a conversion course is a really sound investment for your business. You may have been trained in all 3 systems, but you have not been trained in every brand ... and I have used 3 brands of gel in my time as a tech and they have all been similar to use but definitely not the same. You will find that education in nails is life long and that college will not have taught you everything you need to know to make you an outstanding tech.

As for the other bit, I find it very unprofessional for a supplier to try and gain business by gossiping about it's competitors in such a fashion, especially when none of it is based on fact. But heck I guess gossip is more interesting than fact!

Your right you don't hane to take a conversion course but you are advised to whenever you change a product as ALL PRODUCTS ARE DIFFERENT in one way or another whether is is the product or the application you need to know how to do it properly, and sorry hun don't take this the wrong way but if you could work with any product you wouldn't be having probs and changing!! IMO

Why did they say not to take the foundation??

Creative will have told you that there is no need to do a Foundation Course, as this is for beginners, however they will ALWAYS advise a conversion course. I would be interested to know how you have been able to buy Brisa, because as far as I am aware you shouldn't be able to buy the products without a conversion course!!

I am a Creative Master in 3 systems, however I would never assume that I could use another Brands products without having the relevant training first.

I am a bit confused about one not having to undertake a conversion course. I thought many reputable systems required that one should do a conversion. Can somebody clarify this for me please? xx

Jenny2, you have received lots of excellent advice recently re Brisa and the problems you are having with it. Now I'm not a Creative trained tech or a Brisa user, but it seems to me that you have given up on a gel before being trained correctly on it and I can't get my head around this.

Nobody is saying you have to use Brisa, but much of the advice given (from people who know) was that you should seek adequate training in the system.
Now I'm not placing myself in the catagory of experts mentioned above, but even I posted to you that not all systems/gel products are the same!

Forgive me for saying this, but do you not think the lady behind the counter at the wholesalers, was trying to make a quick sale by telling you the things she did?

You are blaming Ellisons for selling you the wrong lamp and yet you have been advised here that a Brisa lamp is required ........ and yet you are finding you can't work with Brisa .......... but as you are VCTC trained, you say you can work with any system?

I really would appreciate a reply Jenny because I now don't understand where you are coming from. I am honestly not trying to have a go at you so please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm baffled at the choice you have made, after the advice you have received.

Sorry hun i meant that, Creative have been the only ones that i have trained with that say you have to be trained to use the products but there are many products in the wholesalers that you can buy without a conversion but we would advise them to do, whether they take our advise or not is a different matter.

Yes i am confused as to where you were able to get the products too as with Ellisons you have to send you creative certificate so you can buy the creative products??

I have to say I am Creative Trained but when I started buying from Ellisons I only had to tell them who and I trained with and when I was trained I didnt have to show any form of Certificate.
