She just text me to let me know - not going to get disheartened by it - being a pink I bet I didn't put enough adhesive on it - will have a look tomorrow as we work together - she is on an early shift and me on a late so will take my kit with me and fix it! I guess because the tips come off would I need to totally soak the remainder off as no tip for doing a rebalance is there!

If its only the tip thats come off i would file back existing product removing any lifting just enough so you can re-apply the tip and overlay as usual

Don't be worried about it. It could be improper prep or application.
It could also be that she knocked it off putting a load of washing in!
Good luck and let us know how it goes x

Don't be too hard on yourself hun xx

Clients can tell you they have not done anything and you can see they have picked, pulled & fiddled away with their enhancements.

It's possible that you may not have built your stress area up properly on the pinkie? Have a look at it before you start, just to check it.

You can, assuming their are no signs of ANY lifting at the smile line where it's come off, just file the old product down & prep, then apply a form and away you go. I personally would remove the whole lot if I were tipping the nail as I would not want to glue a new tip on top of any remaining product that may still be there iykwim, but that's me. Think of this as a chance to get a bit of sculpting practise in. And your client will be super impressed too!

Thanks ladies, I will be leaving in an hour for work and will do it then - won't be back till 9:30pm tonight but will let you know how it goes x

Well I arrived at work early to find she had stuck it back on with medical glue!!!!!!!!

It wasn't anything I did but the break has gone through the free edge and zone 2 straight across like she has clipped the edge of the nail so at least its nothing I did I don't think.

She does has 2 little bits of lifting on other fingers and so I said when she has a rebalance I will soak the pinkie off totally.
