Anyone have any suggestions how to get pale pinks to cover. I never seem to get great coverage with 2 and even 3 coats.

What brands are you using? :)

Creative and OPI

You're using two VERY good brands there...

Did you get them from reputable distributors?

Are the nails totally free from oils etc before you apply the enamel?

I think the idea is for them to be sheer. I don't know Creative polishes, but if your using OPI Passion or Privacy Please, these are very sheer. Sweetheart and Bubble Bath are a little more opaque.

If you want a pale, opaque color, try Italian Love affair, or Suzi and the Lifeguard. HTH's I could go on and on. Sometimes I'm ashamed of how much of my brain is devoted to nail polish.

If your covering a nasty bruise or something, you can always start with a coat of white, on all the nails, and then apply your pinks. But it will take a LONG time to dry!

I get them from my local supply house and I clense the nail before I apply any polish. The color seems to be uneven, darker in some spots and lighter in the other.

The white polish is something I didnt think of, Thanks!

Yes I agree, I have been using OPI for 15 years now and unless you are using one of the sheer ranges then you should have no problems. It pays to take care when buying, do a bit of research online to see it they are sheer or opaque it can save you a lot of money in the long run. I know my local stockist seems to know nothing about much really so sometimes relying on them is not such a good idea. Hope you get sorted out :)

Another thing that may help is that all the new CND colours are marked as sheer, semi sheer or opaque which should make things easier and ba a help to you.

get a more dense polish, with more pigment and more depth.
There are so many shades of pinks, with varying depths and coverage, you just gotta find the right one for the job.
