PC/Mobile Phone geeks, need your help please

I have just installed the samsung pc studio software into my pc, it worked fine......................then when i tried again tonight, to get pics off my phone, all i kept getting was "there is another pc studio programme that is time consuming, please wait till it has finished and try again" - but the problem is that i dont have anything else what so ever on my pc that uses this software. the programme does show that my phone is connected to the pc, but it doesnt pic up my phone once inside the programme - hope that makes sense

is there anyone out there (im sure there is) that could possibly help with this, as its driving me absolutely nuts.

I had problems with the Samsung CD rom when I tried to install and then transfer music from my pc to phone. It wouldn't even recognise my phone even though it was plugged in. I then just used Windows media player to transfer over to phone and worked find.

Can you transfer photos to pc without using the software? I'm not a pc techy so I don't know if this is possible.

Another thing to know, when I did a virus checker it found a trojan horse in the Samsung program so I uninstalled it straight away.

Samsungs are notorious for not connecting on pc's, ive had 3 now and none of them would connect either through using the software that came with it or via bluetooth.

Ive now got another sony ericcson and i dont need the software, i simply connect using the usb lead, go to my computer and it shows my phone, i click it and i can go into all my phone files or transfer media....now thats what i call easy!

try plugging your phone in and going to windows explorer and searching for you phones folders on there. i have Nokia and do my photo's this way, it's quicker than the software.

standard windows software help you use phone/digital camera. i have software for my camera but don't use it because my windows vista works the same way.

it's nothing to worry about, just u have a option of what to use.

The only phone i ever got to work on my pc with the software is a nokia 6280. But it died so got a sony Ericsson (the bond phone) cool phone works a treat, till you plug it into the pc. I'm on xp and I didn't install the software it always wanted me to update the firmware.

So to get round this I plugged in the cable to back of pc ( usb port) then plugged my mobile in let the pc install the phone through the usb. Right then done now you have a message that the phone may not work properly DONT PANIC it does. xp does plug and play. I hate vista.

Now go into your computer through the start menu or off the desktop and you'll see you hard drive and everything that's connected to the pc. IE webcams and dvd drive. Keep an eye on your phone it might ask what you want to do Ie file transfer. click yes for that for transfer data.

There should be a icon or folder saying removable (storage) device and its E on mine. Access the device and explore the contents of your phone. It really is easy if windows asks you to find a program or install software, just click cancel. It really does work and saves putting in software just to do your head in.
