Hi,
Have been searching threads for good methods of removing dead skin. I was not trained and do not want to use a knife etc but am finding my callus cream and normal rasps do not do the job in all cases.

Whilst obviously I tell the client that they may well need repeat visits to sort the problem, I am looking for a better 'rasp'.

Someone mentions the Ped Egg; are they any good and does anyone know who stocks them in the UK?

Thanks

Hi,

I have no idea what these Ped eggs do but I do know that you can buy them from Boots - hope this helps a little!

Thanks alot-I'm a sucker for anything gimicky even if I end up using it on myself!

Ask geeg, she swears by them x

Asda had these in the other day in the bit where they show mops and things on a little tv and then they have the bits for sale underneath them, its right near the chicken oven in the Shipley one :) They are £9.99.

my boyfriends grandma bought him one well think she managed to get a few in bulk so they all have them and wow they actually work, i love JML.lol there stuff is cheesy n gimmecky but it does actually work n is a good idea.

avon do a their own version of ped eggs for a fiver if anyone in my area would like one i know an avon rep. well shes in barnsley but does a lot in wakefield mirfield dewsbury.

I have one of these and it's alright, but not a patch on my OPI foot file!! I don't really like to rasp feet anyway as I feel it's too harsh, but the OPI foot file is the best thing since sliced bread! Removes every trace of hard skin!

Would love to see what it looks like.
The ped egg sounds kind of gross to me, looks as if you are grating your hard skin off and saving it!

the ped eggs are brill !! I bought mine from Boots.

I can't imagine how some-one made holes in their feet with one??

It can be washed and disinfected as well.

I picked up one from the dollar store for hubby.
YES, a whole $1.00
And he's IN LOVE with it.

Off to grab a couple more. At that price, how can you go wrong? :green:

Thanks for all the replies; I just got one off Ebay for 8 euros inc. p&p and it comes with 2 replacement blades so I'm pleased.

I don't think I'll need it for every client or all over the foot, just some areas on some clients could do with something a little stronger.

Anyway, probably like every new therapist on the planet, I just love looking at new stuff!

Cheers.

i got a ped egg and it is useless. can't seem to get much off whether i use it on wet, damp or dry feet. I bought a foot file called Swedish Clover from beauty express after reading a lot of good reviews about it and it is very good - really heavy duty!

I also bought some Mr Pumice Callus Terminator which you can paint on the feet, leave for 5 mins, then use the foot file for very hard areas.

Oooh you've reminded me to give myself a pedi and ped-egg tonight!
