Hi fellow geeks,

I am currently doing pedicures at college and am a little confused on what procedure to follow when introducing specialist treatments. My tutor confused me further by giving me 2or 3 different alternatives but the main thing was to do the exfoliation and masque before the massage but the parrafin wax after. Would you do all the cuticle work before your specialist treatment or after?? I'm a bit lost at the mo and wondered if you guys can advise on the order you use when doing these??

Thanks x

Personally, I would do the cuticle work before I did the parafin. I do the parafin, then the massage. HTH...best of luck in school. :)

I would usually do all the cuticle work prior to the parrafin, massage and masque.

I would ask your tutor for specific advice.....
A basic method to follow, then extras in correct order.
As your tutor how they would do it.
That's what tutors/teachers are for.

Asking for advice during training is great for "ideas", but can be conflicting as to how your tutor expects the service to be done.

They should have a curriculum (an order) that they stick to while teaching.

I have the basic pedicure procedure from college but they do not have an order for how the extras should be done. As none of the extras are assessed in an exam they feel no need to do set out an order for these services. I really want to practice the extra pedicure treatments at home but am unsure on the best order to follow.

Hi, I start by applying cuticle cream then use the foot file, then soak, then exfoliation, then cuticle work, then a treatment if required (heated booties or paraffin wax) then massage, then re file and polish. Hth xx
