Hello evryone!I have been lurking around here and picking up on bits of advice for a few weeks now-I hope you dont mind but Ive finally registered and hope to draw on all your wondeful expertise in the forthcoming months. Basically Im looking to set up a salon (my first) and am currently in the whole planning stages (I like to be fully prepared!), Im keeping my eyes open for suitable premises and have seen a few, but none so far that I think are right for me:cry: (Ive also looked at a couple of existing salons however I think starting afresh is a better option....) Aaaannnnyway, I was wandeing if anyone could come up with some suggestions for a name as I havent got a clue:irked:, not a sausage!!!The overall image of my salon will be a kind of vintage one, the main colours being black, cappucino and cream-sounds naff I know but it works really well, with chunky oak wherever poss (oak effect flooring, etc) and old fashioned ornate mirrors, and so on and so forth! I want to create a really cosy, upmarket environment and be a little different. Im trying to think of a quirky, trendy name (I lurve things like chilli cactus {design company} and bannana fish {casting agency} yet dont think that kind of name is quite suited to the beauty industry!!!) that stands out from the rest and kinda rolls off the tongue iygwim?!Yet Im just not having any luck-I just dont like anything Ive come up with so far! So please please any suggestions would be greatfully received!
Thankyou:lol:

Hi Fluffystuff and welcome to the forum :)

You don't say what type of salon it will be. Is it a nail salon, tanning and waxing, all beauty?

Anyway there are a couple of threads you may/may not have looked at so these may help.

Should give you a few ideas :)

Good luck with it all, your ideas for your salon sound lovely. I love coffee and cream and to add the rich looking dark wood sounds absolutely divine :green:

Hi Redsadie!Thankyou for replying!Doh!I realised after Id logged off that I babbled on about the look of the salon but never actuall mentioned what Id be offering!!!Basically its all beauty, anything from nails and waxing to botox and peels, anything and everything! I aim to have the latest and most up to date treatments in with a focus on aesthetics, alongside the 'bread and butter' staple treatments. I have tried searching the threads but just cant seem to find anything.....I thought this would be a fun easy thing to do!ooohhhh no!!!

you tend to find these days beauty shops do not use names that are associated with beauty at all. so your quirky name with the words beauty clinic would work,
i like the vanilla pod
elite
au naturell
your name
citrus
