Hi everyone

i recently got rainbow tips, which are kinda metallic looking tips that shine all colours (like engine oil spills ha)

but applied some today and l&p nor gel will bond properly, as in any bend n product completely seperates, so thinkin ok its the smooth surface i lightly buffed n colour gone!

then even tried brush on adhesive as primer done nothin but still bend n product pops away even with capping, it took more force but still!

they look good but i cant use them if its gonna happen on clients, my reputation be awful.
i feel stupid askin as i shud know myself

Any suggestions please? oh n yes they were cheap tips

thanks in advance xx

ive used some with l/p and not had any probs.
i never buff tips when i use l/p [only blend]

Thanks Angel

Yeah its usually grand without buffing but its these tips, when product comes away its taking the transparent multicolour glaze with it.

a girl asked for some today but i couldnt apply them i knew she'd be back complaining but she got cool bright multicoloured nails instead n was delighted!

so its the cheapo tips i suppose, serves me right!

anyone know where i can get decent ones cos they're lovely lookin.

I have these tips and lots of glittery ones - I am unable to pu them to the test "properly" as I am not trained, but they do stay put on my trainer hand and on my own nails - I don't buff them as the colour comes straight off lol

Another option may be to use natural tips and get "Rimmel" varnish - they do the petrol effect and it is lovely :)

i have had dame problem with coloured tips and i still havnt been able to stop the lifting ... and when i buff over them it just makes them look dull and scratch or it takes the colour off!!! .....

if you find out id like to know aswell :) xxx:confused:

Have you tried a dual system form (or poppit) over the top?

xx

Have you tried contacting the supplier for advice ?

Hi i bought these type of tips a while ago i had the same prob nothing seemed to stick to them regardless of what i tried, yeahthey were cheap. they looked nice for a few hours and then the product would just chip off the tops leaving the tip. I tried everything and got so frustrated i put them in the bin.
Hope you have better luck than me.

You only get what you pay for so I would bin them and get some decent ones:)
