I was talking to another therapist today, and she has seperate cover for going into people's houses to do treatments. What I mean is, she has her beauty insurance and then a completley seperate public liability insurance.

Now I am worried, as I took it for granted that I am covered in case I spill something on the floor for example. :irked:

However, Professional Beauty seems to cover you as therapist for performing treatments.

So what I wondered is if you have seperate covers and also if anyone can recommend a good insurer for public liability?

Thanks:hug:

When you take out your insurance you need to inform them you will be working mobile, you need to ring your provider and ask them if yours needs updating,
you also need to upgrade your car insurance so that you are covered to carry your working equipment, if you have a crash or someone breaks in to your car or steals your car you need to be covered by your insurance hth

The Guild's full membership gives you £2 million Public, Product & Treatment Liability, and will cover you to work mobile, in a salon or from home.
PM me if you would like any more information.

Our insurance unlike some policies carries NO excess, will cover you to the tune of £3, 000, 000 liability insurance, plus extensions for specialist treatments (call for further information), also covers you for previous years, product liability, Salon cover and loss of reputation...to scratch the surface of the benefits....

think PBT offer insurance for your contents as part of the policy, but double check that, and I think you have to empty the car overnnight otherwise its void.

Hi There, ABT offer insurance packages from £**.** per year...and you get a free subscription to Scratch!...pm for further details
