Hiya,
Sorry for an annoying question...
I've looked through the tutorails and cant find one, I'm looking for a tutorial for rebalancing pink and white liquid and powder when it's been originally sculpted.

also while i think of it. i keep seeing people say sculptured nails, i think sculpted sounds better but which is correct???

Go to the tutorials section here on the site and read my tutorial on French re-balancing. I hope it helps.

here it is: http://www.salongeek.com/nail-finishing-maintenance/14905-forever-french-rebalance.html

Actually SCULPTED nails is correct.

A sculpture is a noun ... to sculpt is a verb, therefore wwe sculpt nails and the nails are sculpted.

I LOATH it when people say sculptured nails its just plain bad English.

Thankyou Geeg!
I knew it was bad English but being new to it all I questioned my instincts! Its a shame people don't double check themselves, it adds weight to some narrow minded peoples conception that people in this industry are bimbo's!

Off to read your tutorial now, and then put it into practice instead of just re-doing my nails. I'm convinced mastering rebalance is the most important thing to do (apart from prep).

Thanks again :)

Geeg, sorry to be a pain! In the tutorial what do you mean by this,

"Of course you must do your usual check to make sure the sides of zone 1 are firmly ‘clamped’ to the natural nail that is growing out underneath. This will ensure no curling away of the natural nail from the tip area. Make sure you do not file away the 'clamp' when finishing off."

As the natural nail grows out it is easy to remove the product from the sides of the free edge. You must make sure you add product down the sides again or you will ge curling which is when the natural nail curls away from the tip .. we've all seen this from time to time. EVERYTHING has to be scrutinised carefully so that these things do not happen. Replacing any missing product down the sides of the free edge is called clamping.
