Hi Everyone,

I had a lady yesterday who had a file, shape and polish on her toes.
She really wants a bit of length on her fingers (l&p) but she is a servere nail biter and has minimal nail plate and on her little finger she has none. She said she went to the nss before and they did them for her but she felt very uncomfortable and embarressed and they made her bleed .
She wants to book in with me when I come back from holiday  I really want to do it for her as she is a lovely client and feels comfortable with me but im not too sure what I should do with her little finger?
Can I try and smooth what is alreadly there and overlay it?
Thanks guys x

Sculpt on the smallest one but keep it short.

For me nailbiters are case by case. You can successfully apply a set on her just give yourself enough time and explain that she must come in weekly for you to ***** and also to correct any problems. In severe cases I usually extend the nail by sculpting to just short of the fingertip. Its always a natural colour and the white can be added at a later date when the nails show no service breakdown or I can paint them. I keep the nails thin and short for about 2-3wks (like a toe overlay).
I find my clients appreciate what I am doing and do not mind coming in. I charge them for a full set and refill which covers them for the few weeks of tweaking.

Hi,

Depending on how bad the clients nails are, I sometimes will do a overlay to the ends of the finger tips, and get them to come in every 1.5-2weeks for a follow up appointment.
I do this for a couple of weeks so that it gives the clients nails time to grow, before I add length.

Other nail biters that are not so bad, I would sculpt as tips would just pop off.

hth x x
