Hi guys I have mixed a blend for myself (as I was a fool and didn't buy neutral) using CND cool pink & warm pink powders after some advise from Gigi, its a great colour and suits my skin tone great .....BUT using reverse technique to extend my nail bed when I place my second bead in zone 2 slightly over zone 3 I am getting a shadow that is obvious when buffed up? Any advice is welcome & appreciated.

Hi hun when I do reverse technique, I do zone 2 work my smile and blend flush towards zone 3 as normal... then I do zone 3, and then zone 1,
I haven't tried zone 3 then 2 then 1 so am unsure of the shadow you mean,I'm guessing its just where the bead isn't blending flush.

I don't get one this way, so maybe have a go and see how you go on xx

Try placing zone 2 first and flush it up towards zone 3. Then place zone 3 and pull down over zone 2 to smooth out the shape. This is how I do reverse and I only get a shadow when I don't flush down zone 2 towards zone 3 properly. Hope I've explained ok.

Oops, Emmsybabes beat me to it

Ah ... Silly Moo I am getting things arse about face again. Will give it a try tomorow.

Thanks guys.

You are probably just not layering the product.

When you do zone two make sure the bead has no ledge and that you push back to thin out the bead towards zone 3.

Then place your zone 3 bead and drag it out over the thined part of zone 2 and you will NEVER have shadowing.

Think of roof tiles and how they are laid one overlapping the other and do that with zone 2 and 3. All will be perfect. (you should actually do this always when constructing nails.
