Smile lines

i use the acrylic method and when i attempted my 1st set of overlays and used the white powder for the tip i couldnt do it. my smile line was a joke and after applying it was so bumpy and messy. i think i used too big of a ball for it,
wasnt really shown how to do them. any tips much appreciated
