I had a lady today for a brazilian wax. She was sooo heat sensitive, the wax was hardly worm, i kept it so cool that it was hard to work with. She kept saying it was too hot. The areas where I had to go over the treated area was "burning!!!" as she described:eek: I use Lycon wax, use lots of prewaxing oil! That is so strange. The skin after the treatment was a bit red but nothing abnormal. At the end I asked her how it felt she said still a bit burny:eek:
Have you ever had a client who was so heat sensitive? She had a test patch done, so it wasn't a reaction to wax, what was it then? I'm a bit worried now, but I just couldn't have burned her, the was was not hot, right?
Please, if anyone had this problem before, could you give me some ideas, why she was so tender down there. Will be happy if you could help, thanks

Hun had she every had waxing done before? x x

Yes, she had a brazilian a year ago. I didn't ask her if it felt so hot then. I'm thinking now, that I should just have stoped there, and tell her that she was too sensitive for it. I'm feeling really nerves now:cry:

Hi hun, I had the same 'reaction' as your lady last Thursday. I haven't had a braz for about 6 months, the lady who was waxing is an accomplished waxer and I had been waxed in that area by her before. The main difference this time round was that she used hot wax (can't remember the make) and last time it was strip wax. The first side really hurt (that was my fault as I hadn't trimmed :o which I expected after 6 months with no waxing, but the second side.....OMG! It hurt like Henry and it just BURNED!!!!!!

It couldn't have been the temp of the wax as she had used the same on me moments before on my other side. I was really sore (and red as you would expect after a waxing) and it was uncomfortable for a day or so after. I did tell her it was hurting but what could she do??? The wax wasn't hot enough to burn me, so why did it feel like that??? The only thing I can think of is that it was the endorphins effect. They'd all travelled over to the first side to stop that hurting while it was being done, leaving none for the second side!

I dunno, but I'm not burnt or peeling, or blistered, it must just be me. So don't sweat it hun, it's just one of those things.

Sorry for the waffle :o

xx

When u say 'The areas where I had to go over the treated area was "burning!!!"' do you mean that you went over this area more than once?

I may have mis-read it x

Thanks for that.
I hope she'll be just fine. May be hot was is not for her, one of those things:irked:

Ask when you next see her if she had recently had a shower or bath, this can you make you more sensitive to heat when having a wax,
or she may have been pre menstrual, we all know that we are more sensitive on the lead up to the time of the month but she may not have known,
there's two possibility's i can think of from the top of my head, hth

Yes I did go over the same area more than once. You have to do it if you want to get rid of the hair. The first time you use the pink wax and then you finish it with lycojet Lavender wax. You use a lot of oil, so it is not a problem to go over the treated area more than once. Beside, if you only were to apply it once there would be about 40% of hair left. Don't think anyone would be happy to pay full price for such a finish:) I've been using this wax for more than a year, it's a really good quality wax, and i never had any problems with it.

Thanks, I will do, if there will be next time:lol: She might not even want to return

Sounds like a good wax system...might check that one out..

I use berins non strip wax for intimate areas and it gets 95% or more out first time,
sounds like it works out to be quite expensive if you have to use two different waxes and i can imagine it will take twice as long to do the treatment, hth

Thought it was something new ... im still with good old hive bikini hot wax....too afraid to change yet lol

It seems to remove all the hair ok though...

Yes, it is quite expensive. I was told it was a painless wax:eek:,it's not true really. But to be honest it is less uncomfortable one than other waxes i used. It gets rid of very short hair too, the skin is very smooth after the treatment.
