ive had a really bad nail day today! my popits popped off!
ok well not popped off but .... one got caught on the washing basket and ripped off, another was lifting and the other had a chip in it bearing in mind i have 5 enhancements now! 3 of them are off so i soaked the rest off spent ages re-applying them! did the poppits and had loads of bubbles in them and they lifted as soon as i took the popit away! (my own fault id not put enough acrylic in them!) anyway soaked them off and now my nails are a compleate mess! really really soft and pealing one has split down the middle of the tiny bit of free edge that i have! my natural nails are usually really strong!!!!!! so now really dont know what to do wether to re apply more acrylic or go an have them done properly or to leave them alone and cut down the rest of my nails to match! (really dont want to that as the rest are really long)

had a bit of a nail accident myself- so we are a bt sore together

so did i

Got my friend to re apply a sculptured nail and it feels so much better being covered up, i kept knocking it when it was bare

I agree, I think you should have someone put some good enhancements back on. I have found when the natural nail is so damaged and thin, it will snag on fabric, split, and otherwise cause a lot of pain if left "bare". It does feel good in that case to have some "protection" on your nails. Get some good enhancements from a tech that won't lift. I would keep them on the short side too, to lessen the chance of catching them and busting one off again. Let them grow, and in a few months your natural nail will be good underneath, and soak off gently if you want to go natural again. Good luck! Dont give up on the popits, it can work properly after some good practice.

hey hun,

as i said before hun, personally i would keep em short and slather them in solar oil for few days, its so weird that your nails which are beautifully long and strong usually have become so damaged so quickly, and while i agree that covering them and stopping them snagging on things is a good thing,(believe me mine are catching and peeling on anything at the moment) if the nail underneath is weak and split/peeling etc, you could end up making it worse (like mine pmsl) it might only take a few days of tlc to get them looking better then get a good tech to overlay them for you

but thats just mho sweetie :)

hopefully someone will come up with a solution for you,

i just hope you get it sorted babes, i know only too well how blooming frustrating this can be chick

good luck hun, let me know how you get on xxxxx:hug::hug:

I love the way you say "popped off", then you confess to being rough, you sound like many clients.....

Try a shorter length, being more careful, more delicate and more respectful of your nails.
