Hi there

Looking some advice on Spray Tan Equipment.

I am a trainee hairdresser but looking to do some spraytanning too. I am thinking about buy a machine / tent but not sure of what the best one would be. Is there any make I should look out for? Is there a certain power in Watts which is the best?

This would not be for every day commercial use, but a few times a week.

All replies welcome.

the company that you choose to train with will show you their spray gun models and obviously you'll get the chance to practice with them so you might decide to stick with them, i havnt got a spray gun yet but am thinkin about gettin one of these maximist machines.

On here we have Collin and Novatan, both really know their stuff and will be able to best advise you on what will be most suitable for your use.
pm either or both of them.

which machine you go for very much depends on a number of factors, how many tans your looking to do,will you be doing spray tan parties, will you be going mobile ,and of course available budget I.E. the initial investment..is this a low start budget where you can only afford a low entry machine and will look to upgrade once your buisness takes of or do you have sufficient funds to invest in a better machine for the long term

You really are best to call companies and discuss your buisness plans so they can advise you acordingly
HTH

I agree with Collin. That said I use Apollo HVLP equipment. They have a T100 that would probably be good for you. I purchased mine through EnvyTan. I know they carry start up kits which might be good for you, as they have everything in them you will need when starting out. Investing in equipment is a personal choice, doing your research will steer you in the right direction.

Hi I am also looking into adding Spray Tanning to my salon and have no idea what to go for. I am doing my training with the Beauty Academy so was going to ask them what is best to use. I have a small salon (only me) I don't like to purchase equipment which I might need to update in a couple of months time. I like to get it right first time if I can. So any help from anyone out there would be most welcome. Also what is the best tanning product to use. Some say Fake Bake some say St Tropez. Confusing:confused:

Hi Alli Bongo I have been tanning for 7 years and i have used fake bake, fake it, sunsations, sienna x, st tropez, a-tan. coulture and now tantrick.
It really is down to personal prefferance each company will try to send you their products obviously. But i have been using tantrick for over a year now and i have had such good feedback from it only one complaint in a year unlike when i used each of the other solutuions. What i like about tantrick is that there is more than one colour solution, free advertising leaflets, aftercare advice is excellent any problems and they are more than happy to help even a year on unlike with a couple of the above brands who seem to have taken my money then not wanted to know me:eek:. I have tried both the minimist and maximist machine and find both excellent machines only thing is maximist uses a little more solution but nothing to much to worry about. htht:hug:

me again what minimist and maximist machines
my god i tought i knew bits before i camor to this forum help the novice

these two machines are basically at the top end of the lower end price point machines.
The minimist(T100/200) ,if you can afford that bit more is the better machine however the maximist for price cant be beaten.

(If you google it you will be able to see the actual machines)

Hi realistic beauty thank you for the advise. I have spent many hours now reading threads on this subject and have seen that tantrick seams to be a very popular system. I've looked on their web site as well and it looks impresive just wish they did training in my area as don't think they do. Oh well I shall have to stick with local trainers and then speak to tantrick to find the best options for me. I love this site you can learn soooo much. :)
