Hello,

I did my spray tan training last week and loved it.
I just got myself an airbrush gun from Iwata (it's a second hand machine in good condition). Tried it and it's different from what I did my training with so I'm a bit panicked!

I practiced on a piece of paper and I find that my application is not really even. I did my training with a liquid that had no guide colour. The liquid I have with my equipment does have a guide color.

I was taught to apply it using a circular motion starting from top to bottom. But with a guide color do you do the circular motion as well?

Were any of you a bit scared at first? I odn't want clients to leave here with patches!

Thanks,
Marie

Wow thats fantastic..well done.

I bet you can only remember half of what you were tought and feeling somewhat aprehensive.

Marie it will all come in time ...and the things you have been tought will start to come forward into your mind and with some good practice you will become a compitent spraytan operator in no time at all.

Your technique will also develope in time so dont worry if you finally do it a different way to the one you were shown...evolve your basic training to suit you and how you derive the best results.

So keep focused, get lots of practice and job done

Good luck with your new venture and hope you enjoy spreading the

I cant really comment as i wasn't trained and don't train people to spray in circular motion.

But there should be no difference to spraying with or without guide colour, the guide is just for the technician to see where they have sprayed and to give the client that 'feel good factor' and is washed off after the 1st shower.

Thanks! You're boosting my confidence!

Now I need people to practice on!!!

Have a great day!

I find that with an airbrush its best to spray in circular motions at varying distances away from the body depending on which part to avoid spray back - my own arms are always covered. well done on doing your training and getting stuck in, I wont add any different techniques as not to confuse you just take it slow and remember to spray DRY to avoid pooling and you'll never get streaks. one tip - after yor finished spraying lightly wipe excess away with a mitt or edge of kitchen roll from any downy hairs.
