What's the best spray tan technique? I ususally start from the back but want to see what everyone else does, step by step would be fab!

PS. I have seen a lot of old threads like this but want to know the up to date tips!

1. I start on the back, go right down the back of legs. Get client to bend over slightly so that you can spray smile line under buttocks.
2. Turn to side and do underarms, side of body trunk and inside and outside of legs
Repeat 2
3. Turn to front and do legs, arms, tummy, boobs, neck & face.
4. Turn client around to check Take care of back of arms. .
Lift boobs and spray if necessary.

- Face first
- Lift Chin
- Under boobs if necessary (if left any later they get tan on hands)
- Chest area down to top of knicker line all in one movement up and down then moving across the body
- legs & tops of feet
- stand myself back up and do side of neck
- lift arm and do side of body all the way down to the feet
- back leg forward and spray inside of alternate leg then repeat.
- turn to back and do the neck, full back and backs of the arms
- backs of legs. Get client to bend each leg to get under bum cheeks if needed.
- turn client back to face me and do arms
- tops of hands and then to the thumb side then pinkie sides
- then i do a final spray over chest and face again.

Everyone works differently you need to do whichever way you can remember without seeming like they're doing the hokey cokey!!

I always do the back first. It puts your client at ease and lets you ensure the spray is [emoji108] even after you've tested it.
Side on with far leg and arm leg in front then the opposite on the other side and finally front.
By then your client is feelings more comfortable

I prefer to start from the back not the front, I find clients are more comfortable with this especially if they naked so they can get used to it before facing me.

1. Back of neck in a X shape, down back and back of legs.
2. Back of arms.
- Client turns to side, furthest leg away from me slightly forward,
3. Spray down side of arm closest to me
- Arm up,
4. Down sides of body and side leg.
- Client does a slight lunge, (nothing scary)
5. Spray inner leg furthest away from me.
- Client turns the opposite way,
6. Repeat steps 3, 4 & 5.
- Client faces me & lifts chin,
7. X shape on front of neck, down chest and front of both arms.
- Lift both arms,
8. Spray under boobs and down stomach.
9. Front of legs & light swirl on feet.
- Arms down, hands in claw shape,
10. Swirl on hands.
-Close eyes
11. Front of face and sides
12. Check over and dry with hose.

If client is having a dark tan than then I'll spray the inner arm, otherwise I generally don't or if I do then it's a very light "mist"

I use around 35-40ml per tan depending on client size. Never use more than 50ml. Barrier cream, sticky feet, hair net. x
