Hi
Try Sienna x, you carnt beat it.

I changed not long ago to them and all my clients love it,
even the retail items are a winner.

I am testing LA Tan at the moment, only tried the 10% on my son so far. It seems a nice deep brown colour. It did however look a bit grey after applied but developed a richer tone. I still have to see how it fades.

I have requested samples of the 10.5% LA Gold and the disco also, just waiting for them to arrive.

Which tan are you having problems with?

I want to stock a different tan along with my tantrick, as i have many happy customers with this solution. I just want one a bit more "brown". i also find that tantrick doesn't spray as well on my T200 as other solutions do. I guess it has lots of moisturisers etc added which make it a bit thicker. This may not me the same for all tantrick users but I have found this to be the case from day 1 on 3 different machines.

Thank for that,

i have one of there samples to try tonight, the customer service side is fantastic im really wanting the tan to turn out good!!

many thanks

Hi Sharon,

I have used tan truth for years and always been very happy, but im not sure if they have added something over the last few months but it smells horrid and is starting to go patchy!

I have samples from siennax , fake bake, la tanning, sun labs, and xen tan , and out of them all sienna had the best customer service, and the information sent out with the samples was brilliant, fake bake and xen tan just sent out blank bottles in a jiffy bag with a compliments slip, no information on the tans or what % they had sent me!!

but la tanning were really helpful and was impressed with them aswell, but i have never heared of them!!

let me know how you get on and who you go with,

why are you changing from tantric? i have called them so many times but not got a call from them, and if i remember i think it was a 0845 number or one that charges a lot!!

good luck
stacey

I have sampled LA Tan 10% and 18%. Both were very dark and would be no good for fair skinned clients so i will need to sample the 8%.
Even though the tan was dark, the colour was lovely and brown and i was impressed.
I currently use Fake Bake and Nouvatan.
I am wanting to change my Fake bake though and i think LA Tan is the closest colour to it.
I like to have 2 solutions to offer clients-one natural colour and another more brown colour.

Xen Tan only offer a "one shade suits all" spray tan, I believe.

Fake Bake offer two: Original and Darker, and hopefully your sample bottles are marked either way. Fake Bake do not reveal the DHA content of their solutions, that's why they're not marked with a %.

Have you tried the LA Gold 10.5% at all? If so how did you find if compares with the original 10%?

Also do you the 8% at all?

Thanks :)

I would say Fake Bake or Siennasol. Tried this one recently and it was actually very good! xxx

hi ya

ive been using la tan for a few months now. ive worked with st tropez, fake bake and tantric before.
i have used 8% 10% 10.5% so far the 8% is great for a healthy glow or red heads/fair like me.
The 10 is good for a holiday tan look for fair/red heads. healthy glow for someone who has a slight base.
The 10.5 is my favourite (its called la gold) and i think it gives a more golden tan (depth).

it fades brillant none of my client have grabbed in the usual spots, some of my clients have come in after a wk. you can still see there knicker line from the last spray, so last a while.

they are really helpful, not to happy with there version of sticky feet though.

hope that helps
xx

Yes Collin and Britta are away on holiday this week so will be playing catch up on their return,
the number is 0845 022 2233 but it does not charge a lot,
0845 numbers are low cost, local rate, hth

As most of you will know by now I work as a Victoria beckham lookalike. I have a big job in Spain throughout the summer and need a really dark tan. Can you tell me what you think is the darkest tan - doent have to look naturel for obvious reasons!!
Thanks
pm me if its better

LA Tan 18% definitely!
It's very dark but it's a lovely brown colour and no orange in sight!
Call LA Tan and ask them for a sample and try it first.
Also cos it is very dark the guide colour goes on dark so you use less solution :)

The only problem with Fake Bake is as you say, it only has 2 choices. When i spoke to someone about their solution i was told that the original is 10% and the darker is 12%.

Hi all,
I hope you are all well. I have recently taken the position of Business development Manager for LA Tan in Yorkshire. I have thought long and hard about posting this information on here. I have been a member on this site since it started many years ago and would like to remain that same person as when i first came on here originally!
I'm not here to harp on about how fantastic the product is or that you should be using it. What i am here for is if you need it information and industry experience regarding the product i am only a message away!

With regards to the original post. My view is this. I used to obtain samples from suppliers and i have tried many different solutions. But to be totally honest i always bought full bottles from suppliers because it gave me more results on different clients so that i could truly decide if it was right for my clients. I realise that this may not be feasible for all to do but for me it worked and i always recouped the outlay regardless! We all have to find a tan that won't let us down and this way worked well for me.

Regarding the Disco tan yes it is dark and does look fantastic and is for the true tan fanatic. But in addition to this all tans can be adjusted to client preference/skin colour with DHA drops.

Wouldn't it be great if ALL spray tan suppliers had representation on Salon Geek?

Well there are a couple on here but they are not here to advertise but to genuinely help people with any problems and to give guidance.
Lots of people give advice of their experiences of certain solutions and then it's up to individuals to make an informed choice. :)

Gotta be Sienna x! For me it's the best, it smells lovely and blends in great. It gives you a natural looking tan and dries pretty quickly. My clients love it.
I spent weeks researching as there's so many differnent tans out there and found this to be fantastic quality.
