Hi everyone,

I am taking the plunge and having worked in a salon for 4 years I want to go it alone! I am thinking of doing mobile to start with and as soon as I have built up a good clientele then maybe rent a space in a salon.

I would love to offer spray tans as I think that it would do realy well. I have been looking at different machines. Could anyone give me advice on the best machine that gives the least overspray (as I am really worried about making a mess in someones home!)

I found this one on a search and wondered if anyone had tried something similar. I intend to use fake bake solution not the one on this site.

I would really appreciate some feedback

I use 'the pig' machine pictured, although I bought it from Vani-T.
I really like it and don't get any overspray that I am aware off, all of it goes in the tent and when I clean the filters on the machine, they are not really dirty.
I like this machine, although I have been told there are better machines, but my piggy can do loads of tans in one day and has been very reliable so far.
Thumbs up from me xx

Thanks jenx, when you say filters do you mean that you use an extractor? X

Hi, I am in the same position as you, i worked in a salon for 5 years using st tropez ultimate air which was fantastic.I'm now going mobile and working from home and want to use fake bake, why arn't you buying everything from fake bake, i have been told it's 280.00 for their pig, tent and a litre of tan, do you know something i don't about the machine that they sell?

Hi
I have recently (3 months ago) just swapped my machine to a HVLP 5008
and i couldnt be happier with it!

From the machines I have tried it has the least over spray (barely anything!) Its easy to maintain and clean, and it can cope with tanning parties and groups. Its also very light to carry around and cheaper than some of the other machines on the market!

I havent tried the machine in your link but I would definately advise to have a look at this one too when your deciding

also be careful with which tent you buy as I have had two and they are VERY different in quality. Pm me if you want to chat, good luck with your search x x
