Hi all,

I'm Lesley and I trained to become a nail technician with Creative Nail Design about 0 years ago. I built up a mobile business but after a couple of years personal circumstances changed and I slowly stopped doing it. I have since had a daughter and I have been considering for ages whether to start up again as I really enjoyed it! I have been lurking on forums and checking out all the different products available for ages. I really like the sound of NSI so I have just ordered the sample kit and I contacted CND for a copy of my certificate as it has gone astray!

Needless to say I am going to have to build up my equipment again as I ended up throwing it all after not in use for a few years. I am going to do my own nails before I let myself loose on the public again and I really want to get into sculpting as I could never get the hag of it!

Well, nice to meet you all and you are all very gifted in what you do from what I have seen of your pictures.

Why not continue with CND? Nsi is a good product too, but CND is such a great product, and if you already know the products you might only need a few refresher courses.

But good luck to you starting up again:hug:

Welcome back to the world of nails

Welcome back Lesley! CND have changed a lot in those years, they have lots of new products and techniques to make life easier for the nail tech.

My advice would be to do a skill building course with them, or alternatively, yoou might find an L & P Conversion useful - it is fantastic value for money (have pm'd you prices) and you will have a full kit to get started again. This, combined with a couple of hours of 1-to-1 would be enough to get you updated, enthused and back on track in no time.

Good Luck:)

CND are sending me out some training leaflets and product leaflets when they send my certificate out again so i will have a look at them. I PM'd you back Fiona before I read this message but it really does seem good value for money the conversion course so I might well look into that.

I have just tried watching some of the vids on CND website but don't know whether its my computer or the website but it keeps stopping every other second and its doing my head in. I want to watch but can't get it to stream properly. Anyone else had any probs with it?

Try a search on youtube, I have had problems with the streaming too, and found them there.

I too have come back into the business after many years out. Things have change alot. You well get alot of good advice on here to help you. One of the things I did was offer free enhancments to potental clients with 3 free refills. It helped me practice new products and helped to get up to speed with applying it, which I'm still working on. Then you have them as a client after the 3 refills.
