Personally I think you don't need to use capital letters at all... it looks quite trendy to go for lower case.. but if you do, (in my opinion only) you should go for ALL lower case... including your Introductory April Offers ... so the whole thing looks uniform.

I like your wording .. do academe not have a website that you can find some suitable 'selling' words of wisdom for you?

It certainly sounds like a good intro offer ... I would certainly be tempted if I lived closer :)

its very basic info on the website

Well what sold it to you in the first place? Is there not something that you can recall that would appeal to your clients?

have got all the info given to me by the rep, and the training manual. have spent all day on the internet looking at other therapists who do this range, but they all say the same thing (which is the basic write up from the main site).

will be speaking to rep next week but wanted to make a start on the promo side this weekend.

the postcard I have shown is just a first copy, iykwim, I just typed as I went along so will be working on the wording, etc, and the font and colours, etc.

It is so difficult to get it just right isnt it ... and more often than not, once printed you then have a brainwave of what would have been 'perfect'. Sorry I can't help you with your wording but best of luck with your promotion :)

Hi there, Just a thought maybe you could say what the price will be after the intro price so that they can see what a good offer they are getting.:)

thanks for the comment Andi, I haven't worked out a price as of yet! still don't know how much to charge full price and introductory price. eek!

just a couple of pointers,

special introductory offer £36.00 normally £50.00 ( wow what an offer i must have this!!)

also you have told me the features of the facial but not the benefits,

the product rose toner, is a feature a benefit would be, rose water will cool, calm and tighten the pores giving the skin a velvety smooth appearance. ( get what i mean?)

this facial includes specfic plant oils customizied to your needs. You will immediately see and feel the difference.

just a thought.

This may not be quite the answer you were looking for but it worked for me.
I used to encourage clients who had other treatments by doing a consultation and mini facial (25 mins) for £15. That £15 was then redeemable on any skincare purchased straight after said treatment.
It was limited to 1 per customer, but was a great way of encouraging them to try a new treatment and start their new skincare regime. I had it on my price list as a "Guinot for Life consultation" with an explanation, it was at the top of my facial section as the ideal way to start your facial routine.
Lots of my customers would get these as gifts for their friends for Xmas, Birthdays etc, and at least 50% of these gift customers became full time facial customers. Well worth the odd 1/2hr here and there.
Hope this helps.

thanks Natasha,
that sounds good!
back to the drawing board me thinks.
got an appointment booked with rep on Wednesday so hopefully get some pointers then also.

something else to consider pinkmummy, thanks.

I will be totally honest with you but I think your special offer should be slightly less £££ I charge £35 for this facial for 1hr 10min and when I have done special offers on it I have done an introductory offer at £25 and this has always worked well.

If you are looking for any wording then you are more than welcome to look at my treatment description on my website for ideas, I put mine together from the literature I received but played about a bit with it.

thanks bombini,
I totally agree with you! I too think that it is too much!!! and will happily change the price, but it was my first draft and didn't know what to put down.
I charge £25 for my usual facials, so worked out that it would work out about £35 for the academie one, so I really pleased that you have posted this!

thanks, will have a gander at your site, and have a conference call booked with Vanessa on Wednesday afternoon to go through the training manual and ask her advice on promotion too.

Hello Ann,

Instead of discounting your facial initially, as this means you need to do loads more treatments to generate the same profit, why not offer a free back massage or foot & leg massage or something else similar.

That way instead of the client paying £10 (for eg) less (which means it actually costs you £10) they will receive something worth up to approx £18. This will mean more to the client but of course won't cost you as much.

This is how we run our monthly promotions and clients are always commenting on how good a deal they are getting.

hth :)
