Hi guys I am doing another acrylics course next Monday and I have soaked off my mum acrylics(she went to the local salon) and they have clearly used mma products as we have only got half the stuff off I need her to be acrylic free by Monday can anyone advise me of what to use to get the remainder off?Going back to the salon is not an option as we both have no time at all.
Many thanks guys

Thin down the nails as much as you can first with a file ... then Acetone and patience will do the rest .. it will take time. There is no quick way that is safe for the nails.

Soak, soak and more soaking in acetone. Sorry, as geeg said, you just have to be patient. There are no quick fixes in this situation, sorry! x x

Thank you geeg and britmacgirl ....perserverance it is :O xx

2 hands, 40 gal. of acetone. 6 hr of soaking..... rofl! and that should do it!:lol:

I soaked a set off last week and it was so sticky as it was being removed - almost like soaking off rubbery glue - and had a horrible fishy smell. I thought this was probably MMA but was not sure because although it was an absolute pain to get off it didn't take ages. I used the d-solve product remover from CND - does this work quicker than acetone??

I just don't get how MMA is still a problem in the nail industry! It's harmful effects have been known for at least 15 years. Who is still making this "stuff" for nails?!? Where are people getting it from?

European (not sure if the UK is included here) standards are so much stricter in regards to comsetic ingredients. How has this one got under the radar?

You'll also need a bucket handy should the smell
overwhelmed you both....... And no I am not
joking, it's stomach churning.......

Have to agree with this. I didnt think it would be that bad, but it made me and my client gag more than a few times!!! Luckily for us we didnt need the bucket :)

D-Solve product remover from Sweet Squared is the fastest remover I have ever used, so I'm not surprised it did the job faster.
