The spray tanning industry is constantly developing as it is after all still relatively young.
As attitudes and trends change driven by ever increasing end user customer demands and expectations we all need to be willing to adapt to meet those demands.
The end user customer has every right to demand top end products when paying top end bucks compared to nipping down to Asda and buying inferior products directly off the shelves.:!:
When the spray tanning industry first started tanning solutions were clear of any colourant..
The Americans added the initial colour dye and when this treatment first hit the UK the initial colour guide was..well erm.... over the top so to speak and anyone being sprayed came out the same chocolate brown initially and once washed off the under tan looked like an advert for a fruit company.
Wow how things have developed since then and now days there is an ever increasing move toward cleaner liquids by responsible manufacturers that are progressing the industry into new levels and which have a tendency to lean toward the skin type of the individual as if it were to be tanned through UV exposure.
So ever closer to the development of a personnel tan that suits your skin type without the risks associated with skin cancer
We now see that different manufacturers have developed a wide variety of attitudes toward issues such as initial colour guide, base colour's for the DHA itself ,additives etc etc.
In nature it is these skin types that set us all apart and give us our own unique identity which is important to maintain when offering beauty treatments.
Tanning solutions have now moved so far forward to those "good old days" when us manufacturers were beavering away with formulation mixes in the double garage still learning and experimenting with different formulations and ways to combat instability issues, which base colours worked best, how to actually apply the solution to the skin surface most effectively and as evenly as possible etc.etc
Given another 5 years of further development spray tanning the skin things would have moved on beyond recognition of what the end user experiences today....and that is good news for us all:hug:
Currently experienced spray tan operators are "used to" higher levels of initial colour guide and maybe find less is perhaps more difficult to get used to.
However those new to the industry and are trained with these new liquids from day one see what they use as being "normal" and happily spray away.
The benefits of reduced levels of "make up" are clear for all to see in the reduced levels of mess needing cleaning up at the end of each day,a more comfortable less "sticky" experience for the consumer, less rub off,a longer lasting tan with a more even fade off to mention but a few.
The key to utilising liquids with this reduced colour guide comes with usage and confidence however can be greatly assisted if adequate lighting of course is available..
This is easily achievable in a static salon environment however can be more difficult when it comes to mobile operators.....there are of course many options of clip on low wattage lighting devices available on the market to deal with this problem adequately.
Solution choice is a very personnel one however without the ability to have that choice through manufacturers developing product there would be far to many ompa lumps all looking identical waddling down the high street on a Friday night out for any of our likings.
No matter which liquid or brand you choose and for whatever reason you so choose the one you use ....enjoy spreading the
OMG was that to much information for a Tuesday morning at 8.30am
