Ok so I have just qualified and went to attack my neighbours for some practise as we are all going to a neighbours house for a party this weekend and they wanted a tan so .....

Did the first one with autunm gold and when I had finished there was hardly a tan line! I know it takes up to 24 hours to develop but shouldnt there have been a slight tan mark? what did I do wrong as I did her daughters legs with 8% and they were really wet ( think I had the spray turned up too much -oops) turned the spray down only slightly.

THEN - and here comes another oops... I poured about a lid full of the autumn gold into the 8% bottle by mistake - will I get away with this or have I ruined my 8%?

I have to face these people on saturday night!!

Did another neighbour after and that went ok just panicing that I may have missed bits now

oh the stress:eek:

Whats the best way to clean the tent out afterwards and shoul you do it after every tan?

Thanks in advance

Gill

There is not much of a guide colour with Autumn gold, don't worry the tan will take and there will be a difference when it has developed.

As a rule we are not to mix the solutions but i have not done this myself so i am not 100% sure, it could/should cause patchiness but Collin is the one that can give you a 100% answer to this one as he knows the solutions inside out.

Just wipe your tent with a damp cloth, don't use any cleaning products as they will damage the fire retardant coating,
its early days yet Gill and we have all made mistakes to start with,
don't worry too much about facing them on Saturday night, once the drink is flowing they will relax and be fine about mistakes that may have happened but im pretty sure they will all look fine

I couldnt really see my tan line either with this solution hun so don't worry it's nothing you have done wrong.
You will make mistakes its only natural, you are human after all :)
Just correct your mistakes and move on.
Good luck with it xxx

I am about to book a spray tan training course soon and Tantric was the one I am probably going to go with because it seems to get very good reviews on here, how did you find the training was it easy to follow and informative and also do you like the products so far.

I would answer you Paula but i am a trainer for tantrick so my view would be bias  x

The training was fun and very light hearted but thorough at the same time! I love the product and as yet have no intrest in looking at other tans as so impressed with this one although am sure there are others out there that are very good,
I would recommend then and the support is excellent.

Ditto that!

Wow Gill..in the true posh style you do seem to love the limelight LOL

mmm it is good that you are worried about the tans you have done...a good sign to be sure and its great that you are taking things slow and just doing neighbours...lets face it if the tans are less than perfect they don't have much to complain about now do they...did they pay or not

Keep doing what your doing, you are going to make many mistakes..it is through these mistakes that you gain the experience of usage and makes you focus more on getting the next one right.

Trust in yourself, your training and keep practicing...it will all drop into place at the right time...remember you can also call on your trainer any time you wish..

.:!:just a tip if you are seriously lacking confidence why not tie in with your trainer and volunteer as a model on her next training...that way you get a free training top up as you can watch and take on board the information once again whilst the training is going on.

In so far as mixing the solution and given the amount you have mixed im sure it will be fine...just make an extra effort to shake the bottle each time before you use it to ensure it is fully mixed together.

Mixing of solutions isn't necessarily a problem area but best done, like Louise, when you have gotten plenty of experience under your belt.

With our solutions they are grouped differently in their formulations.

The original 5/8/10/12 % can be mixed as the AG and EOS and the MAX(Tandare) only as groups.....I.E. it isn't advisable to mix say EOS with Tantrick original....stick to the groups and it will be fine.

Gill...take your time, learn by your mistakes and you will get there in the end.

By the way..still waiting for the signed autographed picture :lol:

Please don`t panic about the AG not looking very dark. I am new to spray tanning, and I do agree the guide colour of AG is lighter than 8% original. I have found that the AG can take up to 48hrs to fully develop, and it is gorgeous. Clients have loved it!!!
They have also said they liked the fact it didn`t show on clothing/sheets like other %`s or brands with dark guide colours. I think that`s a major selling point.
I have to say I have done a lot of models, and only now am I confident to start charging full price.
Keep going and have confidence in yourself and your product :)

thanks everyone - I grabbed my neighbour this morning before she went to work an it looked great - but feet n legs not very brown so will just respray them!

Collin - of coarse they paid:lol: oh and you will get your autograph when you send me the money!!!!! sheeeesh some people want the best for free!

Collin - would the max be best for me when doing Posh as I need to go Mancunian brown (well I am a Manc anyway)

You could always give it a go and see if dark enough...have you tried the origional 12% with perhaps some additional booster drops?

Ok so here's the deal....you send me a signed autograph and when I receive it I will send you out some 14% samples to have a try.....don't know but somehow don't fully trust you star types if you even charge people that your practising on

so do we have a deal or not??

Hey Gill.

Haven't been on this site for ages - as I, like you, are experiencing internet probs with - can I say on this site - BRITISH TELECOM!

Anyway - glad that you have received help from the 'geeks' on this site - just remember that you can always call me, that's what I'm here for.

Also., if you ever need a spray for an assignment - I'm your girl!

Keep practising and definately charge - you'll be fine, honest! x
