hi i was wondering if anyone could help me please i did a set of acrylic nails a week ago and have just spoken to the lady and she is saying that her natural thumb nail is throbbing and is really hurting her but all the others are absolutely fine, she said it didnt hurt straight away but gradually started to get worse as the days past can anyone tell me the reasons for this please

It could be that maybe the tip is too small on that thumb as that can make them throb and feel very tender. Does that sound like a possibility?

HTH's  xXx

no i dont think it could be that as i am very careful with the nail sizing and the pain is further towards the cuticle area and the middle of her natural nail tx for replying though.

could be shrinkage...would normally happen on all nails but your ratio might have been a bit wetter on that nail or the application a tad thicker...??? If it is then it should feel better by morning. x

The shrinkage is what I would go with,

Unless, has she done something and not wanting to take the blame for it? When you catch a nail or bend it back or something it can leave you with a bruised feeling that can take a couple of days to go xx

i would bet my bottom dollar its product shrinkage, if your mix was too wet , and as its the thumb, we tend to use bigger beads, which will cause the effect much more,
the pain/throbbing should go in 24hrs,
work to the correct mix ratio, and use smaller beads on the thumb especially if she has large nail plates
