Tone down porous bleach blonde

Hi I use goldwell and I have a client with really porous hair (I've never done her hair befor) she wants to go a more natural blonde gradually with highlights, she is a natural 7 she likes caramel and golds. I'm not very confident with blondes so I'm not sure what to use I was thinking 8g or 9bn but do I use semi or permenent and what peroxide if permanent any advice much appropriated as I need to over come this confidence thing with colouring blondes x
