I understand where you're coming from, and I'm sure you'd much rather be abed and coddling yourself.
Most definately, give them a choice.
Use hand sanitizer often and especially after blowing your nose :lol:
I would urge you to wear a mask for the entire service since you are in very close proximity.
A trick I learned out of desperation, for runny noses that interfere with your work...
Ok, don't laugh too hard and DON'T YOU DARE TELL ANYONE:!: :o
Excuse yourself to step aside out of sight of the client (tell her you need to get your nasal spray or go to the loo or whatever...)
Bring your mask with you.
While in there, shove a ball of kleenex/tissue up each nostril.
Put your mask on and DON'T TAKE IT OFF
:lol::lol:
Halfway through the service, excuse yourself again to go change it:lol:
Due to my Raynauds, I am not allowed to take decongestants or other products that stop the nose from running.
At the time, I couldn't stop dripping/blowing long enough to do nails.
It was an act born of desperation.
And worked like a charm!
(ok, you can stop laughing now at the image in your head of me with kleenex up my nose:irked::lol
PS: this is now my routine remedy when clients don't want to reschedule and works like a charm every time. I tell them the mask is on so that I don't breathe on them and they're happy with that and they know NOTHING of my kleenex trick. hehehe Of course, you talk funny, but they expect that with a stuffed nose LOL
