Viva Express 1hr spray tan

Hi peeps,
has anyone used /using viva express spray tan? the guide colour can be washed off after 1 hr for a lite tan or left to develop for up to 3 hrs for a darker tan, sounds like a miracle to me!

Vani-t are also about to launch, a 1 hour tan. Leave on 1 hour for a light tan, 2 hours med and 3 hours for a really dark tan !! Think 1 hour tans are gonna be the way forward.

I have a sample but have yet to try it out, im put off as it contains quite a few parabens-not such a a good thing!

There was another thread about Aviva Express last week, so forgive me for repeating myself ...

The Husband sprayed my legs with Aviva Express on Sunday 5th July, and I showered off the colour guide exactly 60 minutes later. The immediate result was very pale, but I continued to develop (somehow!) over the next few hours into a lovely golden tan.

The only downside on the day was that I ended up with strap marks from my shoes.

The tan lasted very, very well and I still had colour when I re-tanned yesterday.

I'm going to try it on a client this week who's going to leave it developing for 3 hours, and the results of that will determine whether I go ahead and stock it.

So far so good ..... xx

Oooh let us know, how dark she goes after 3 hours. What would happen if you left it on longer than 3 hours, would it continue to deepen?

I spoke to their rep the other day cos I'd tried there bronzer spray on wash off and she rang for feedback. I asked her about the express tan and she told me that it stopped developing at 3 hours whether you leave on or wash off but then again she also told me if you wash off at 1 hour it would also stop developing - this doesn't seem the case though from the above posts.

When I did my training I remember being told that even when you wash the guide colour off the DHA has pentrated your skin so you will keep on developing upto 24 hours so maybe this is why it carried on developing after washing off at 1 hour despite what she said.

I have some to try also so might get sprayed with it myself today and let you all know.

Its just the price of it.....

i saw the price, and it is expensive, but if it passes the client tests then i was thinking of carrying it and offering it as an upgrade spray, at a higher price. The worst thing for most clients is not being able to go near water for 8hrs after their regular spray.
Please keep posting your results on this product, i'll keep checking back. Im going to get my hands on a supply asap.

I have sprayed a friend of mine today with Aviva Express. She is naturally tanned but usually wants to go a bit darker, when I have sprayed her in 10% before she goes noticeably darker with it. She left the Express on for the full 3 hours and there is not a knicker line or bra line in sight so unless something does happen after the event she has not changed colour at all. Perhaps the result would have been amazing on someone with no natural tan, might give it a go on my sister who is lily white and see if that is any better.....

You leave it on for 3 hrs but it still takes 8 hrs to develop properly, has it been over 8 hrs and no colour?

The rep told me it stopped developing at 3 hours - I clarified her on this so the info is conflicting. I haven't seen her today but since she lives 2 doors away I'll go an have a look.

I used it a week or 2 ago and turned my gun right down (as it says you should) and was sprayed by admittedly my mother who isn't the fabbest but isn't the worstest and I didn't develop at all, no knickerline, nothing! I wore it for 2 hours which from what I understand is the equivalent of a medium tan and I didn't come out at all! I waited over night as usual and woke up with excitement only to see that I was my usual milk-bottle self! I think I perhaps had my gun down too low as tbh I don't exactly have my gun open the widest anyway but I might try again and have more coming out. I did feel it all going onto my skin if you know what I mean so I know I was covered but it was a very disappointing result for me. I have a wedding this weekend and I think I will use my usual 8% but next week I'll do the Aviva again and see what happens!

I am determine that it will work! I hate wearing my tan overnight as I am such a mucky pup that it ends uo all over the place! Lol Lx

Hi All,
I got a sample last week, I did a patch test on my arm.
Washed each off at 1 hour, 2 hour, and 3 hours.
1 hour very pale, but continued to deepen to a nice light tan.
2 hour deeper tan when washed off, but did go deeper than 1 hour tan.
3 hour test, definatley darker, and went even browner.
I am sure that it says it will continue to deepen after wash off, but the deepness depend on how long it has been on the skin.
They do send a brochure out with the sample.
I will have my legs done and report back........but I am leaving it 3 hours on both legs, so no one get smart and ask me to wash one off after one hour :lol:
I think the rep may not have read the brochure properly.
Yes it is instant drying, no stickyness.

Not a thing on her apart from her natural tan, like I say she does have natural colour but when I use either tandare or tantrick 10% she goes noticeably darker and has underwear lines! I'm not trying to knock this product but what would happen on someone with a darkish skin tone that would usually have 12% or more? I have some left and will try it on my sister who is very fair and usually has a 5% or 8%

Aviva Labs have just produced Aviva Express leaflets.

I have been using this product for 6 weeks and everyone I have used it on absolutly love. Mostly they left it on 3 hours and were all happy with the colour.

I have also used it on me and I wash it off after 3 hours but I think it stops developing on me and my partner.

When you wash it off do you use PH balanced sodium laurelth suphate free body wash? I can only think the problems are linked to this.

The product should stop developing after the clients shower, however if you are just rinsing it off the DHA will still be active.

I havent noticed it get darker as my partners slept in it and it stopped developing with him after 2 hours.

I suppose the depth of colour is always going to rely on a lot of things like ever tan solution. The product does contain DHA though so it will react and cause a colour on everyone no matter how long it is left on for.

I can only think that perhaps a couple of samples got destroyed by the heat that we have had recently.

I have a lot of girls using the solution making a small fortune off it with no problems. I too have been using it on clients charging twice the average in my area and demand for this has been high and come from word of mouth.

I suppose not everything will suit all of us though and if we were all offering the same 1 hour tan it would not set us all apart from each other!!! Thats why we all use different brand tanning solutions !
