Watch this video, applying french gels with a dotting tool?

Hi I stumbled across this on youtube, was wondering if this is ok to do applying gels with a dotting tool, she does the pink with one also it looks realy nice.

Are you waiting for a Rule Book to come out?

As you can see, she uses the tool for accuracy. Some find the brush too cumbersome. I've seen toothpicks used in this way.

It's what fits your style. Some might gasp in horror at using anything but a brush. But if you require a dotting tool, popsicle stick, paintbrush or toothpick to get the look you want then go for it.

i apply my white using a dotting tool and i get great result by doing so ,so why not apply the pink in this way to as long as you get the results you want

Thats what I was thinking I think it looks realy good, may have to try that soon, I think becuse with liquid and powder the brush you use is so important etc that seeing anything else but a brush seems different. Going to give it a go!!xx

Well I think it looks like one hell of a lot of fiddling and faffing and messing about to me .. come on .. 3 minutes to apply one white tip in Gel?? That is 30 minutes spent on just applying the white zone 1's in the salon?? There are better more efficient ways to do things.

As Velveteen says there is no right or wrong but if you want to make a living then you need to learn techniques that at least are efficient.

there are lots of different ways and tools that people use to do enhancements,its just finding what gives you the best results with the quickest time.x
