Hi everyone...Firstly I'd just like to say that this site is great ! Ive just bought the 1000cc Mercia waxpot from sally's, they assured me its the same machine as the 1000cc that Hive do. Does anyone know if I can use paraffin wax in this pot as I cant see this anywhere in the instructions?

Also, I have just enrolled on a spray tanning course for July, ive read a few posts on here saying that the tantrick one is the best however the one ive enrolled on is tantruth. Its around £40 cheaper to do this one. I am assuming that although I am going to be trained using Tantruth I can then use whichever I find works best....or would you recommend I pay the extra and go for the tantrick course?

Thanks amie xxx

Hi hun,
Not sure on the paraffin wax bit as I dont use this wax pot so hopefully someone else can help you there.

I wouldnt reccomend a Tan Truth spray tanning course. No offence to you or anyone using this stuff but in my opinion they are one of the worst around.

The thing is by training with a company that use a certain product, they will train you on how there solution will look, work etc. You then have all the knowledge you need to have in order to provide a good service with that product.
Tanticks training is one of the best out there and for the sake of £40 hun you cant really afford not to do it

I had my training with someone who was independent. I must admit that the course was not great but i'm sure there are some good ones out there. As he was independent he didn't show me one particular brand. We used Sudo, Coco bay and Fake Bake. If the course is a good one then you should be able to use any solution after and then it's just practice, practice, practice.
You tend to develop your own techniques anyway. I really struggled with arms and legs but now do it a completely different way to how i was taught and am happy with them now(well 90% anyway:)).

Hi thanks for your replys.. I am going to change the course and do the tantrick rather than tantruth I have had a look on their website to see where I can find a trainer...so far only one in my area though. I'm in tyne and wear though if anyone knows of any others?

Oh and my wax pot does do paraffin yeyyy.

Thanks again x x x

Yes hun your heater can be used for paraffin wax also,

the Tantrick trainer in your area is called Gemma, if you ask her about other solutions while you are training she will share her wisdom on all the ones she has tried,
we do teach with Tantricks solutions and recommend them highly but we also share any info we have and answer all questions that you may have,
our training is also fully accredited so you would be qualified to use what ever solution you chose, hth
