You have probably checked this but

Will your insurance cover you for a 10 year old?

have you checked with your insurance that you will be covered for waxing such a young child?x

Great minds think alike champagne!!!!:smack:

Yes i phoned them and they say it will cover me for warm wax but not hot x

Blimey thats young....

I would offer a % discount, I wouldnt automatically 1/2 it, you are still using product and time.

I have this problem with my eldest, she's 10 in November and is so embarrassed of her hairy legs that she wont wear skirts to school anymore and hates PE because of them, constantly comments about them and says her friends comment about them all the time (got to admit they are very hairy !). Am trying to push it on, but being honest I think if she has anything waxed she'd never have it done again. She screamed the place down when she had her ears pierced and she nattered for them for four years !:eek: I feel that ten does seem young, but if its a battle between them being happy to bring forward something they are going to do later on anyway, I think I'm going to have to cave in to this one eventually. Nightmare.

This is exactly the same as this little girl feels. I feel so sorry for her. Seeing as it's my friends daughter i dont mind doing it with her consent. I am worried that she will never want it done again, but to be honest i think as long as its gone ,I dont think she will care about the pain.
Cant wait to see the smile on her little face!

Just taken her to school and she's on about it again in the car. Think I will wax a tiny bit on her leg and am sure the pain will change her mind, if it doesnt then I know she's serious ! I sound like the mother from hell !! Kow what you mean though, once it starts affecting their happiness what do you do !? Ten is young I admit, but the end of the day, its about hairy legs not body piercings isnt it. Let me know how you get on with her though. xx

I have been waxing my daughter for the last 2 years she just turned 10 when I started and I have to say she has changed so much since I started.
She will now happily go swimming do PE and wear skirts so I would go for it and as for the pain you will find they don't find it that sore compared to some adults.

My eldr daughter is now 14, but at about 10 she also became very uncormfrtable about hairy legs. Like all of you I put it off and off, but found her one evening trying to cut the hairs off with nail scissors. I was also talking to a friend (in the business) who said she had just had a girl in of about the same age, who mother had put her off having her legs waxed and she had got hold of her dads razor and cut her legs so badly she will prob have scars for life. I immediately got my friend to wax my daughter (they wont make so much fuss as when you do it) and thoght the pain would mean she would never want it done again. She has had her legs and underarms waxed ever since, and this summer asked for a bikini wax (just basic) I now do her waxing, and she has learnt to do mine. So my advice would be to 'go with the flow' if she so worried about the hair shel will only find a way to do it herself. (By the way my other daughter - 12 has had her legs waxed once, and wont do it again, saved up and bought an electric razor for herself).

Ive not done waxing, and wouldnt normally agree to such a practice on a young girl, but I understand that if it is affecting her happiness, espicially with other girls mentioning it to her, then go for it, because as she gets older and into secondry school, the taunting WILL get worse, and she doesnt need that sort of stress, then hopefully she can get on with a normal school life, and do well, bless her

I'm so pleased that you all agree.I thought you were going to shout at me lol. I thnk it's so nice to be able to be there and make a difference to somones life. Even more so the children that get picked on at school. It's so unfair!
My little boy of 6 came up to me the other day with a list of beauty treatments that he apparently NEEDED ha ha
His list was a facial (so he doesnt get spots) a spray tan! Oh and apparently i never wax his legs and he'd also like that done. HA HA!! The funny things they say. I would like to add NO WAY !! hee hee

That's really cute why not give him a pretend facial in the bath with bubbles and a little foot massage!

Depends on what you charge in the 1st place. She may only have little legs but if you're mobile you will still have to set up all the same.

I don't usually like doing discounts but as she's a friend I would perhaps do a small monetry rather than %age discount

Thats a lovely idea! It might stop him moaning at me lol :p xxx

I think you are doing the right thing, as a young child I had very dark hairy legs, and I hated wearing skirts and dresses. I still remember have fun poked at me for it, and I am well old now... so yes go for it, you will have one happy little bunny afterwards..xx
