What do people do with regard to this? I have a girl (14) who comes in with her mam to have her legs, bikini and brow waxed. Her mam said she'd rather start her waxing than her start to shave. Her mam has always been in the salon while i'm doing her waxing but what I was wondering is what are your views on allowing her to come without her mam in future?

Personally i wouldnt be happy to wax anyone under 16 without their parent present at all, regardless of how many times they've been.I'd rather be more cautious 'just in case'.

I totally agree and wouldnt wax anyone under 16yrs without their parents (or one of them) present.
I can see where the mother is coming from but at the same time 14yrs is still very young?
It might also be worth you checking this with your insurance as they might have certain requirements about minimum age and presence of parents?

Well yes I know 14 is young but her hair is quite dark so I can see why she wants it done. Yes i'm going to check with my insurance to be sure

I wax a number of under 16', the youngest is 13. I get the parents to sign the consent form and I alway ensure they stay with us through the treatment.

That's fine but check with your insurers and get her mum to sign. If she's in the room, that's ok. xx
