evening all,

ive been having a browse on the forums and notice that berins and perron rigot are very popular for waxing espec delicate areas. I just completed a waxing course in Sep last year and been using salon systems I find it quite sticky and am intruiged to more about the other brands.

Do you need specific training to use the non strip wax? ( I trained in warm wax)
If so are there courses near Ayr/Glasgow?
How does it work do you not use the paper strips?
can I use my satin smooth babyliss waxpot heater with either of them?

Thanks

If you re not trained in non-strip wax, then training would be a good idea. (Also check with your insurers what their position is.)

You could have a play with non-strip on yourself and friends without training. There are tutorials on the net and dvds you can buy. I have a feeling Perron Rigot have a video tutorial, I will look for it for you.

There is also a tutorial on here, by Andy aka Axiom, I will look for that too.

ooh thank you, so there's a bit of a technque to applying the non strip wax? think am going to have to order some to try it. Just wondered if it ok to use with my one pot wax heater? With the berins do you use the ease for legs etc and blue for face underarms etc? is the ease to use with wax strips and blue a non strip wax? Do you have to use them both at different temperatures? And does anyone know if there are any training courses in ayr/glasgow for non strip waxing?

You don't need training but if you can manage it, you won't regret it. You can always call me or PM for advice on how to use it as I use it all day and I'm a Perron Rigot trainer and ambassador. xxx

Sorry I forgot about your wax pot question. If you get a pot of Berins blue, the tin will fit in your Babyliss. If you get Perron Rigot, you will need a container to put the pellets in as it comes in bags, or in 800g tins which will be too big for your Babyliss. If you wanted to use Perron Rigot, I do know that you can buy spare tins for the Babyliss from Sally although they are a little flimsy in my opinion.

Berins distribution is going through a little blip at the mo, but I am fairly sure Collin still has 500g tins of Blue available. I would also recommend that you buy a bag of Blue as well as a tin, because as the level of the tin drops down you will need to top it up with more pellets

With the exception of the ease there are still stocks available of the Berins range which should amply tide therapists over until such time as new supplies arrive in the UK.
HTH

Thanks everyone I think I'll buy a pot of both Berins and Perron Rigot see which one I like it's got to be better than sticky old wax that im using. That would be great Kim thank you I'll be in touch once ive received my perron was I cant say that properly keep thinking it sounds like a champagne! hmmmm :)

Thanks Collin I'm just going to order some blue to try just now will get the ease when it back in stock.
